70% Efficiency? Thats kinda good already actually, almost same as my previous CM RealPower 450W type. My current iGreen is rated @ 85%> Efficiency.. brows.gif By then, if better go get a high efficiency psu. More stable.

Sounds good. U changed new psu already? thumbup.gif By then, watch out when u do OC. Well.. OC just like u speeding up car by pumping more petrol. Same concept with OC if u wanna hit higher speed, vcore pumping is a need. So becareful.

@Kabu
Thanks for ur info.. That fan sounds good.. Wanna see whether garage sales have this fan or not. drool.gif PC Fair.. Time to hunt for some new fan also.

@blonely
What happened to ur mobo? Anyways, try boot ur post without any ram, see whether the mobo will beep or not. If beep thats mean ur mobo still stand the chance of surviving.

After that, try clear ur cmos by take out the cmos battery for few sec and put it back. Than try albert's way. Boot ur mobo with 1 stick of ram and see how.

What do u mean player PCI GC? Anyways, most of the p4 system is running AGP GC. Unless ur using rare mobo which support DDR2 & PCI-E GC. As mentioned, is rare, so is hardly to get.

P/s: If im not mistaken ur using P4P800-X right? Then the answer is NO for pci GC and DDR2 ram. tongue.gif

@shinjite
P4P800SE will have fluctuation during on load? hmm.gif I never meet that kinda of problem with my mobo. Im using this mobo as well. By then, i think PSU also one of the factor who cause the fluctuate of voltage.

@blonely
Mine state clearly about ur condition? Did u try to boot ur system with 1 stick on ram? How was it? Can load into windows? Or pass the POST screen? Oh yea! I got a fren who using the same mobo as u, he did face the problem of incompatible GC with that P4P800SE.

Ur situation is weird. Since the mobo will beep without ram, from the case the mobo still can consider is alive. As i know, that P4P800 is having problem with some old ATi card. My fren was having problem with 9550.

Do u have spare proc with u? Since u still having sold it, did u try to boot the mobo with different board? In this case, it might the cpu is faulty but mobo is alive. Ur AsRock still on ur hand? Assemble ur new proc to ur AsRock board and try boot see it function or not. Well.. I lets conclude the solution that i can give through ur case.

1. Take ur current proc (newly bought) and plug onto ur old asrock board and test, see whether it can be boot up or not.
2. Take ur old proc, (2.8E i assum) and plug onto ur new mobo and boot. See whats happening.
3. Do u have any other GC? Such like FX5200 or FX5500 type? Try those old nVidia GC on ur new mobo. Since it has problem with ATI card.

@blonely
Just do what i told u to in the previous post. It might be a faulty proc u grab since it cannot boot the system up. But anyways, its still up to u wanna try or not. For ur case, it seems like is proc faulty since the mobo still beeping when ram is not plug in. wink.gif I asked u to try ur 2.8E on the P4P800 not ur asrock board.

@herojack41
There is nothing as pump full power. It still depend on the power station near ur area whether it supply stable current to ur house or not. PurePower PSU is a type a psu which operate supply stable current as it can to ur system, (well it still depend on the PSU pcb structure. The circuit that it used) but u still need a Voltage Regulator in order to stable down the AC current before it transmitted into ur PSU for converting. Anyways, it depend on u. If ur listen to ur personal technician then u stick to ur current psu than. As for me, i would suggest go for a better psu. Atleast a 500W PurePower. PSU is a long term investment. wink.gif

@herojack41
Well.. Its up to u. There are many reason causing voltage drop. But as for a real true performance psu, it atleast will keep the voltage on a safety range. Eg, my iGreen, even on idle mode it still keep my 12v rail at 12.35v and never goes below 12v. Since u state that ur psu is a true power type, i wander why the voltage will drop so much. Even +-5% but i dont think a true power psu will drop that much on idle mode.

@pengster
Ehehe! How much had u spent for ur OP? By then, 620W is more then enough already la! Haha! Did u PSU comes with dual PCI-E 6pin power connector? Or urs can support quad.. brows.gif

@Kabu
blonely rigs is working fine if he use back his old asrock board. I suspect either is the proc is dead or the mobo is having problem thou. Since his previous mobo can run the system, dont think will be the psu.

Yea.. 11.4v for 12v rail i don think is safe. Eventhough is +-5% tolerance, with that rating.. Is hear the edge of danger.

Well.. Based from what blonely says, he did try with 1 stick on ram which mean single channel. His system still unable to boot up. Is kinda hard to identify whats the problem was. Maybe mobo? Ram? PSU? or Proc.. Each of the compoents stand the change of faulty. But i think ram is the bigger part.

Rmb my previous xms? One of the stick were having unknown problem and cause the whole system cannot boot. But once take off the faulty one, thing goes normal. But blonely more weird, maybe both of his ram is not compatible with the mobo. Since both of the ram still unable to boot the system up.

By then.. Anyone here lapped ya proc and hsf before? drool.gif Wanna do new project dy.. HSF and proc lapping! I read some of the article says it can help 10'c temp dropping.
