Woahh.. Just been home from pc fair. Its tiring man.. Keep on black out during the fair.. Worse & lousy system. By then.. This year kch pc fair still not bad.. Atleast i can see ASUS HD3850 and HD3870 around. And latest 8800GT. All the price for this 3 GC are below 1k. The most hard decide is HD3870 & 8800GT. Both of their price are only lack by rm10. RM980 for 3870 & RM970 for 8800GT!

Yea.. Interesting! Atleast not as previous fair.. See nothing. Now.. Can have a look on some high end or latest stuff around. I saw many ppl were asking about the HD3 series.. Seems not bad. Just expensive by RM10 compare with 8800GT.. Really wander who did the job better. But AFAIK, HD3 card is doing great with on xFire mode on those game without AA & AF.

Yup.. The 4GB thumb drive is the normal kingston Traveller. Well.. U guys know the speed la.. Atleast the PenDrive Brand type still better then it. xfire & sli? Not worth the $$ actually, unless wanna show off and damn rich then go ahead. By then, latest ATI 3series can support up to Quad xfire for graphic rendering. Meaning 1 master piece for the output, and the other 3 card share the graphic rendering process. Much more better then SLI 3 card.

Welcome to the club. By then, if u wanting to change ur stock hsf, but have tight budget. Then i recommend u go for Gigabyte G-power lite. That cooler at my place here (east malaysia) cost below 150, i guess at ur place (or maybe lowyat) u can get cheaper price that that. Worth the money! And its a good cooler!

U got extra rigs at ur house? Take off the HDD from ur main rigs and plug into ur other alive rigs and back up ur files.

Just fixed ur pci frequency at 33/66. Thats will help when u going for OC. SATA HDD? I assume it should workable for both PATA and SATA. As myself were using WD250 SATAII still able to hit 4Ghz with 33/66. So, it helps.

The best way, go google for GPU-Z and run it. It might be some driver crash. Try format ur pc and install fresh driver.

Woah.. Just finish cut a 20G partition out for vista. Its time to play on this new tools.. Ofcause.. Will gona powered it with S478 & my 68GT..

Hm.. For ur case, i think ur GC just a cut down version of 6200. I faced this kinda of problem before. My 1st 9800XT was having the same problems as urs. Shown as 9800XT but the pixel and memory interface were only half or the original type. Anyways, if u dare enough a bios mod maybe bring up the real performance of ur card. But bear that, it dangerous.

Yea. I was having 2 HDD connected to my rigs. And another 1 as extra. Anyways, i just wanna about how to use the raid since my mobo has the function. No harm to have a try since i got all the tools right?

Lol.. Yea.. I was hoping the fair are like those KL or other big country type.. Which is really have all the latest stuff shown out during that period of time. Oh yea.. The price for Phenom will be slightly cheaper then Q6600. But at the moment still havent got the actual price yet. By then, i was wander hows the performance of Phenom if compare to C2Q Extreme which is now still cost like a bomb 3k per proc.

LOL! 16GH of ram? Thats freaking crazy! Btw, i guess the price for phenom will be far cheaper the the Q6600 when the price is fixed. For now, 6600 is near 1k now. By then, maybe phenom performance have no fight with Intel Quad series. But i believe its barcelona will pwnx xeon! Oh yea.. For phenom.. I think is better to wait for the 9700 series out. 9500 seems like dont really perform well. Mobo price? Currently not much new AM2+ mobo lo.. Hm.. If tight budget i think A770 AM2+ will be nice. Otherwise.. ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe!

Yea.. I agree with u kabu. I wander why i got less interest with intel new series. Even their performance is pwnx all the way round. But i still got attracted by AMD X2 series. Especially the new OverDrive for each core and the spider platform on the new architecture. Intel for me, i only interested with P4 series! My fav old school!

P/s: Anyone here tried Vista Ultimate with S478?

For ur case, the best way to identify ur GC that i can suggest is, download the latest official driver from nvidia website. And did a fresh installation of windows to ur HDD. That will be a best way.

Owh? Haha.. U use vista to gaming? I plan for dual boot xp & vista on my rigs. As i had prepare 2 partition for ea of the OS. I just wanna try out the function of vista and get used with it. Smooth with ur rigs? Then mine no doubt as well.. As i have exta 512mb total 1.5gb ram. Should be enough.

Oh yea.. Just install for exploring the new function. Not going to game with this OS as its already resource hunger + recent game atleast need to hav 1GB ram to play the out come sure not as good as XP. As u sey, choppy FPS.

Wah.. No la!! My grandma live there.. Was go over to celebrate her 81th birthday actually.. My dad wanna drive there. That what why it will takes 3days time for the journey of go and back. Oh? That sound card only RM100 with full package. Ok la.. Not so bad. Actually i was dream to have this sound card before. But the price is killing when it 1st out. X-fi? Audigy 4? All the price is >RM100. I wont spent so much in SC actually. As long as is better then the onboard type will do already.

Oh yea.. I think of that. But not now la.. No $$ to invest on wireless mouse & keyboard yet. Rome was not build in one day.. Take some time to gather all the part with the cheapest price is my budget!

Oh yea! But somehow the $$ is too killing for 2GB kit DDR. Thus.. Not really a good investment. As it burnt alot of holes in wallet la.. High performance ram usually are come in high price. Just ask, how much of the user here willing to invest right? Im not comparing DDR & DDR2 actually but just tell the fact. As if running on XP i doubt 1GB is more then enough lo.

Lol.. By then, now LCD which 24' inch & above then got 4 digits price. Others below 4 digits lo. Yea.. Is better to build a HTPC with low power consumption rigs but not all the low consumption rigs can do well in video playback. And also, ned to have some good parts such like remote control, wireless keyboard & mouse and etc. The most important.. BIG LCD and GOOD sound system.
