Somehow asus board seems like kinda choosy in proc and GC. Wander why.. Maybe blonely was grabbing a choosy mobo. Pity him.. But mine seems ok!

By then.. Anyone here lapped ya proc and hsf before? Wanna do new project dy.. HSF and proc lapping! I read some of the article says it can help 10'c temp dropping.

is it the kingston value ram punya pasal?? i not using the kingston. if you saw my kingmax you sure laugh, 1 green and 1 red pcb. hahaha...with the yellow pcb p4p800x. but i dont care about it. can use enough. Just pray it wont leave me for another 2 years.

wanna ask u guys, wat is the temp for u guys p4p800se northbrigde? mine is >50C, when open longer will reach 60C
then i've try to blow it wif two 8cm fan (each about 3800rpm), nw <50C, but more than 45C, at night when cold only cn reach <45C

PS: as for blonely, i've sold my northwood to him , i think u all cn hear news from him by 2nite,
help him to boot the mobo ad, proc prob. his mobo doesnt seem to support his 2.8 w/o HT, when he install the 3.0 n/w HT, he cn boot ad
but, very unlucky of him lar , after wasting 1 day to boot up the mobo, then when come to format prob still occur
u guys ask the details from him 2nite lar, i think rite nw his whole rig is working normally


btw, wanna ask u all y my post count gt prob har? 157 only? if i nt mistaken last few weeks i hv more than 200post ad

Something wrong with ur post count? Yea.. If im not mistaken, u had gain around 200+ post.. But why sud drop to 100++? Maybe too long din log on?

ya...now i'm bec..after 2 nites busy on that mobo..
guess it can't support prescott technology (90nm) or mayb HT prob...
coz the only different between that 2 proc is this 2 things. i think L2 cache and FSB should be no prob though is different.
even plug in the mouse need to reset the cmos in order to boot up..sigh...
luckily everything is normal now...
now very sleepy.... zzzzz.....

, hsf no dust, just clean it (coz last 2 weeks just gt it, so clean b4 install mah), i think its the hsf prob + thermal paste prob
so hows ur oc progress?

yeah.gave me a major headache when i tried to pair the rams together on the P4P800x

yeah i lapped my intel stock HSF before.but after that didnt try it out cause was using a different heatsink already now lazy to lap my Ultra90 adi.

btw i just tried to hit 2790Mhz but sadly after a few minutes on desktop then BSOD already. sighhhhh.

I wanna lap my BT120.. By then, some update here.. just swapped in the Fatal1ty FS-V7 to my 68GT.. Guess what? 10'c dropping! Woah.. Maybe previously cant oc this card is due of the temperature too high. Wanna try again to night..

lap the Fatality heatsink too.i bet there'll be another 3-5c drop

Lol.. Lapping takes alot of time eh! Gotta wait i free then can do. But now working.. Dont think got time to do..

P/s: I dont think can hit ur request, as this card is pre-clocked from 350 > 375, and 500 - 525. The most maybe 10-15% from stock.

yeah i took half the day to lap my intel heatsink

i think its possible since you're using a much better heatsink then the stock one.even mine on stock heatsink with MX2 can push till 515Mhz core from 450Mhz. good luck man.haha

Lol.. Some update! OC result.. Able to push my core to 400 and memory to 550.



Found artifact when try to hit core 420. Idle 57'c & full load @ 65-7'c..

wah not bad not bad if you lap your Fatality im sure the temps will drop somemore and you might be able to push higher

fylon,your 68GT really good.Now break your old record again.

@pengster,your 6800GS is quite strong.The core is able to go higher than fylon one.

Haha.. But the OC just for benchmarking actually. I play games with default speed. Guess is enough for me dy. So i dun push any for my GC. 13K.. By then.. Im envy with pengster 68GS.. Good in OC. Lucky din grab the 79GS.. Else i think it will be bottleneck by my procs. This 68GT just right to pair up with my 3.2E..

Thanks to the OP650 before this on my FMA i couldnt go past 475 stable.

so far 515 is the max i can go but there's a little artifacts when gaming.so i guess its not that stable. thanks to the MX2 as well.

temps is around 47-48c idle and around 66c at full load when OC-ed.if its at stock i get around 45c idle and 62c full load.



edit : even tho my 6800GS can be pushed further but my proc cant guess i need to do some tweaking with the bios settings.
