I think should just revised the SPM Language component examination  doh.gif
Just create 2-3 variants of difficulty (Easy, Normal, Express)...

Since UEC Students are "recommended" to complete SPM at fifth year, before proceed last year sixth form for UEC.

I am a budak SJKC, did I thrived in BC/BM Environment growing up? No.
I struggled picking up Mandarin and BM.

I struggled my ass through Secondary School in SMK, just to get a bloody C in Bahasa Malaysia. And took all the English Papers Subjects because I know I surely can't make it in Malay medium subject classes.

Should really stop the Compulsory SPM Sejarah and Malay must PASS - mentality.
Pretty much this SPM certificate has destroyed alot of kids - educational pathway.

Especially those from Minority background here...

I also Skjc did I excel my Mandarin? I ducked n failed every single exam so in smk I decided to drop mandarin classes n go to library during mandarin classes. Imy ingeish n bm exam results were very good. This ehown Imy spm results as well.

I can speak mandarin n read n write abit. BM I speak like native. More native than some natove

So how now??

simple.. have only one entry exam... u can study in STPM, Asasi or Matriks.. but all take the same exam

as for the racial tongkat issue, it is up to the politicians to convince the rakyat that meritocracy is best for the country...

I see, meaning that all modules are taught business as usual, but exams will be unified. This definitely solve the financial issue in a certain way.

Therefore, I can see how this logic seems plausible, but if I dig a little deeper, we still have to wonder whether the modules will become an issue

i.e. STPM taught subjects are different than that to Asasi / Matriks, which will then raise the question of equality in evaluation since the courses are taught differently

On top of that, it still does not solve the "second chance" problem since failures still reflected in the same certificate

So I think we are a little distance away from this being an executable solution

But again, I'd say this is a reasonable solution that can be explored to iron out the details
