wow... so interesting...
last time, the story was always if retire early, die early....
work till 80 means longer life...

this new stats about retiring earlier live longer.... is refreshing and new....

inactivity will make you die faster.
But if you can plan your retirement to include activities that stimulate mind and body, it will be fine.

but no money how to live?

u may think money is NOT ENOUGH, so u work until 65.

but in reality, people die around 65-70.

so at the end, save so much but not much time left to enjoy all the money.

at 65 or later, I doubt u have the energy to travel and enjoy ALL the food u want.

Exactly, if got enough money can retire at any age you want. 65 yo is just the ceiling age for retirement, not necessary to follow and work until 65. So what’s the point of this topic ah?
*
If 55 have not enough money, you think 65 have enough?

• Retire at 55 → people live to about 83
• Retire at 65 → life expectancy drops to 76

By waiting just 10 more years… you could lose 7 YEARS of life.

Why?
Stress destroys your health.
Your best years shouldn’t belong to your boss.

The real goal isn’t to retire at 65.
It’s to be free by 55 — or earlier.

The old adage: "Lies, damned lies, and statistics"

Statistics only give you correlation of numbers. It doesn't give any causal relationship between the numbers.

More likely you had it the other way round: poor people retire later than rich people. Poor people have a shorter life expectancy.

You need to know what are the hidden variables whistling.gif

stress is the number 1 killer, imagine the extra 10 years working stress done to your body.

by then u maybe have MORE $$$, but not much quality time to spend those hard earn money.

those work until 70, probably will get a heart attack along the way, no time to spend hard earn money.

no money also stress what. culture shock from being busy suddenly become passive also cause stress.

many people die from work, even more now...

heart attack is very common now...

normal people have enough money by 55, to live well until 65.

those lazy work during younger times, have themselves to blame. whistling.gif

at 55 your chances to be healthy is 100% than at 65.

so the later u retire, then chances to be healthy is lesser by the year.

hahahahhahahaha, then gomen introduce laws for children to support their old parents for what?
most people will finish their pension in less than 5 years.

many parents throw money on their children hoping they will pay back later. cant blame them as inflation is crazy.
