• Retire at 55 → people live to about 83 • Retire at 65 → life expectancy drops to 76 By waiting just 10 more years… you could lose 7 YEARS of life. Why? Stress destroys your health. Your best years shouldn’t belong to your boss. The real goal isn’t to retire at 65. It’s to be free by 55 — or earlier.

QUOTE(Jasonist @ Dec 1 2025, 02:08 PM) but no money how to live? Exactly, if got enough money can retire at any age you want. 65 yo is just the ceiling age for retirement, not necessary to follow and work until 65. So what’s the point of this topic ah?

Gov policy should give people choice to retire 55 or if they wish to further contribute up to 65. No such thing a one size fits all.
Me personally I would prefer retiring at 55, but hopefully finance are sound

QUOTE(zerorating @ Dec 1 2025, 02:05 PM) but being active prolonged your life expectancy too. stress is the number 1 killer, imagine the extra 10 years working stress done to your body. by then u maybe have MORE $$$, but not much quality time to spend those hard earn money. those work until 70, probably will get a heart attack along the way, no time to spend hard earn money.

If can I want to retire before 55...seriously, work can be bad for health..if yr job is easy, goyang kaki type with no mgmt BS, then go ahead till 60..
Most of us dont work in that ideal world..always hv to deal with mgmgt BS...
