Wow. Didn't know that. Well soon you don't need to pay them anything for buying if you can archive it. I thought you must buy into their investment product.

If really require credit card appliction in order to entitle the promo rate, it's actually not an issue for me.

However, I'm still surveying which bank provides better priority banking experience.

For me, HSBC Premier JB first impression is really bad, their RM is just like "TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT".

Most RM are lousy unless you buy their investment products, that time they'll invite u for events or launches, bad RM also change fast. If you just deposit few hundred K, many aunties and uncles have that money lol

There is a saying need money to make money .. private banking should give one more options or investment tools to make money.

But sad to say, most Malaysia banks .. offers mutual fund, bond, structural product that link with shares.  I heard that is a higher level banking (for big shots) that can gets better investment tools.  Too bad, haven't reach that level and never get such offer to join ..  cry.gif

Any interesting investment tools that Private banking is offering now?  Please share.

Just remmeber to bring whatever that's necessary to apply for the damn CC. Didn't bring whatever was required that day and wasted 10 bucks on stamp duty just to pledge another 15k in TD for the CC.... ish....

Which HSBC Premier credit card that needs you to pledge a TD to get it ? The normal Premier World MasterCard or the newly launched Premier Travel World MasterCard ?

I don't even know which card I got, I think it was their normal Premiere world Mastercard. Basically because I didn't bring any supporting income document at that point of time, and it'd defeat the purpose of coming down to KL another day.

As far as I know you do not need to pledge any TD to get the Premier World MasterCard. You don't even need to show any proof of income to get this card.

Probably it's due diligence on their end. I mean you don't see any tom dick or harry walkin in in shorts, t shirt and slippers. Even at CIMB I didn't need to go thru all these stuffs. At least I was at a decent mood to comply to their request. But first impression failed la for me. End of the day the card is gonna be collecting dust lol.

I was told in 2 version

1st officer told me the version u wrote.. automatic qualification of premier world master card, which act as a preferred banking card.

Then when enquire with the relationship manager, he say actually need an income document.

Same branch, but 2 diff version.

Anyhow, i just ask ask.. never took

That is some serious inconsistency on HSBC part. All those I personally know who holds the HSBC Premier World MasterCard received the card automatically without the need to pledge any TD or show any proof of income.

You can see many such uncles at HSBC Kota Kinabalu Premier Centre but of course these uncles are no ordinary Tom Dick or Harry.
