Scenario,

ones deposited 250k to CIMB (FD + FUND Investment), immediately become status CIMB Preffered customer, but what if the customer is cash rich but monthly income only around 5k. CIMB still will issues CIMB Preffered Infinite Credit Card to him ?

As long as minimum amount is deposited into the account, one is eligible, regardless of monthly income.

CIMB would still ask for proof of income even if u are their Preferred customer, for VI application.

Income requirement stated as RM120k pa.

Yes for credit card purpose , I agree. I was trying to mention about the minimum amount needed to b tagged as preferred customer.

For VI, the requirement should be more stringent. I recently applied for CIMB and AmBank VI, after hearing that they have so much benefits. Initially the RM's asked for proof of income, but later they waived that. Have received the 2 VI cards. Free for life !

CIMB waived yours for the VI card ?

Besides that , CIMB Preferred VI doubles up as a recognition card which enables preferrred banking customers to flash to use preferred banking centres and priority lanes
