vivo X200 Ultra Pricing:

This Fon is more expensive than Oppo Find X8 Ultra. I wonder why ?

Checking prices in China, a similar 16+512 spec is about 200-300 RMB more expensive than the Find X8 Ultra with comparable specs. I’m guessing the premium might be due to the camera modules.

Also, the red color tends to command a higher price - noticed it often carries around a 100 RMB premium.

Bro if you look at Shopee price the x200u is 4k & above. Meanwhile Oppo Find X8 Ultra only 3.5k & above. A huge difference of almost 500. Oppo I like the color OS 15, vivo the last time I own a vivo NEX with a pop up selfie camera, after that never buy a vivo again till now.

why not Oppo Find X8 Ultra TS?

The zoom capabilities of both Oppo Find X8 Ultra & vivo x200u is the same. But they use different techniques. Noticed most influencers & YouTubers rarely max out the zoom in both Fons in their reviews, basically they only zoom to 30x or 50x & says the zoom is best in the world that money can buy but they don't dare to max zoom 100x or 120x cos the pictures at max zoom is laughing stock even with AI optimization.

Never test x8u but so far i like my x200u

I am comparing official price from stores. Shopee I don't even know if they're actually used units disguised as new unit being sold in marketplace, unless seller can guarantee sealed unit.

Personally prefer the colour rendering of Vivo, but this one more of a personal touch.

Nope. This phone since released exclusively on China as of now, means any unit sold in stores are grey units.

Yes, was expecting 1" but they changed to 1/1.28" with 35mm lens. Still the results not very far off unless you pixel peep then this phone not for you.

Too bad it's exclusively launch in china. It will be good if they launch it in Malaysia like 15 ultra.

Vivo x200 ultra will be strong contestants if they launch it here and Malaysian will be willing to pay it for the camera performance.

The x200 pro price very stable even it's past 6 month after launch. Some other flagship price already go down the drain

If they launch in Msia it will be funtouchOS, which is a no no i feel haha.
FuntouchOS i would say is the worst OS among all global unit phones.

gf using x200 mini. so far very impress by vivo.

zeiss preset filters i need to research more. no idea the effect from each one
cena set origin os. many updates within a months.
many different type of AI function (not centralize together). no idea of fun touch how bad it perform daily

Yes last yr i also use the mini very nice and compact size and the dimensity very good battery life with 2 days.
Vivo UI origin OS so far the best for china phone. But not funtouchOS haha.

Unless if they streamlined all market using same os or else it's gonna be funtouch. I don't see any changes anytime soon as it's still selling like hot cake with funtouch.

I don't have much experience with funtouch but what I heard and see online is that it's really bad lol. The best os will be fruit (although it lack customization but it's most stable), pixel and sammy for global market.

Agreed all the units from Shopee are either from HK or China

Funtouch is primary school while OriginOS is like University , been using for more than 4 year , really more and more stable , i'm glad the OriginOS 5 come with android auto update , and not to mention the OriginOS5 really get notification on time ! Last time when my first OriginOS3/4 stil got some delay lagi

Any tinkering on notification settings needed? Or it just works out of the box?

Microsoft teams not working at all, I even use adb command to put MS teams to "permanently wake up", but to no avail.. that's why I didn't convert my main driver from Fold 6 to Vivo x200 Ultra

I wonder how does Oppo x8 Ultra works like for Microsoft Teams

On OriginOS3/4 , need to lock the apps on the background to get real time notification , but with OriginOS 5 , u can using this setting without need to Stay your apps at the background and it 100% work

Here the step

Go to Setting > Privacy > Permission Management > Then on top choose "Permissions"

At the "Autostart" & "Associated startup" , toggle the apps u want to get notification especially those google apps

Ya the x200 pro selling quite good. Even it's 7 month post launch, their price during sales period is very stable, sometimes even out of stock. The demand is there so price didn't drop. This show Malaysian willing to spend more for a phone with good camera.

The success probably partly because x200 ultra is not available here. If it's available, I think those thinking to grab the pro will consider to upgrade to ultra

Even overseas tourists that come here for holidays buy up the x200pro. If only vivo Malaysia launch the 256gb at lower price I might think to buy one. The current 512gb price is abit high IMHO.

If compared to Oppo realme vivo UI. I would definitely rank vivo fun touch OS 3rd cos of the way vivo arrange the menu inside the settings that makes finding certain function that takes longer to tap tap tap.

My understanding is that the os is rather plain and lack of customization. Animation wise the origin os counterpart should be better. Last time people like a plain near stock os, now still do but it's limited to pixel.

For other flagship brand, nowadays people prefer those like a lot of customization like oneui. Now the SOC is so powerful that it can push a lot of customization and at the same time offering smooth experience.

Anyway os preference is rather subjective, just drop by a phone store like ur etc etc and play yourself to experience it to see which 1 you prefer

ya the price is rather high considering that it's using dimensity. They can price it that way and people still willing to pay for it is because of their excellent camera performance.

For me the only part I don't like is dimensity and the feeling the phone holding on hand. It find it not that comfortable to hold. Other than that no complaint

For camera I think Oppo Find series is better alot. But Oppo Find series battery small.

if you only need the wide and selfie cam... good to go i think...

vivo n oppo neck to neck... most often i prefer oppo... but sometimes vivo... i wouldn't say oppo better by a lot... smaller battery than vivo but still will last whole day so no issue lah...

anyways i cheap out bought x200s for bigger battery and better macro over oppo counterpart... good enough since most of my photos are not the tele kind...

How is the x200s? I actually eyeing for the x200s , consider it size , better weight , not that huge camera bump, flat side frame , 6200 battery with 40w wireless charging, consider as a whole package phone and well balance at this price seriously.

I really dilemma between x200s or iqoo13 😅

Do colorOS have some delay notification? As i using the origin OS 5 with setting , the notification is on time, no more delay , but i scare it not work well on ColorOS , i actually wish to try the find x8s+ series too , but i always saw review on bilibili , the oppo phone tend to be so sux on gaming , open 120fps but it will be drop frame and lock on 90fps , while realme/one plus actually using ColorOS too , but they doesnt have this problem, only oppo zzzzzzz

imho... iqoo13 is better overall except for tele only 2x optical... x200s more photo centric imho...

if you cant decide between the two... then maybe consider oneplus 13 as it fixes the 2x tele "problem"... also cheaper than x200s...

Yes, got delay in Whatsapp notifications once in a blue moon will happen not sure why, also previously I can't receive my bank apps notifications, not sure the latest May 1 2025 update fix it or not cos I have moved all my bank apps to my 16e. All these don't happen with the factory original firmware, it started to happen only after numerous software OTA update. And yes my Oppo Find X6 Pro sux at gaming will get very hot, I tried 3D Mark stress test the Fon crash due to over heat, luckily I don't game too much.

The one plus13 isnt flat screen , summore i never use ColorOS , i not sure how good is it , but i heard the Color OS15 version have very good rating , in china it macam ranked Top.1 now , before this was OriginOS , i actually satisfy with OriginOS.

I understand that if looking for MAX performance there is no brainer to choose IQOO13 , while X200S is more to photography + daily usage , because i read review saying that the x200s feel more premium in hand and i quite like the design actually , i currently on iqoo NEO 9 , brain telling me go for IQOO13 but heart telling me to test the x200s

Because now i also getting old le , recently stil gaming but not as crazy as last time , iqoo neo9 8gen2 serve me very well , stil buttery smooth , gaming without any drop frame , but the new 8Elite & 9400+ really attract my heart to change due to their performance and power efficiency , but i scare if go for x200s no syiok la when gaming , if can own both so good right , i know there is another option recently that just release , the iqoo neo10pro+ which equiq with 8Elite + 6800mAh battery + 2k screen , but i wish to try STEP UP from NEO series to the Flagship IQOO Numer series or the Flagship VIVO series dillema hardly right now

So far ColourOS no delay at all for my use and i really didn't set any setting. By default open phone and use bro. I find colourOS more stable.When i install revance on it colourOS seems better but on vivo there are some small issues. Now a days don't really gaming on phone but i think ColourOS is good to go since my x8s+ now inside drawer. But for customization OriginOS still better then ColourOS. But stability still ColourOS better a bit.

Actually i find this time dimensity 9400 is better in battery then 8 elite.

Really? actually i heard some good thing about 9400 is when gaming it actually produce less heat compared to 8 elite , for the battery life they claim 8Elite better than 9400 , but in real world might be different story , but the performance for both 9400 and 8Elite should be wont have a big gap , plus the current bigger battery size , really no complain , defenitely more than enough for daily usage.



About the OS , Yes bro , i actually do heard that China people now love the ColorOS 15 more than the OriginOS 5.


Dillema because i feel dont want to spend too much on china phone as they upgrade too fast （almost renew new spec every 6 month) , if getting the cheapo NEO series ,then i can save the money to upgrade more regularly , but if getting those flagship IQOO / X200S , then i might need to use for a little long time and slow down the upgrade

I believe my neo9 stil can use at least 3-4 year more without lag , but really cant resist the new CHIP & bigger battery

Shopee will send notifications randomly on the day iinm the day of the 1k voucher was May 25 payday sales. Tap on the notification and it will bring you to another page within Shopee app that you can claim the 1k & 500 voucher. First come first serve. Once the notification ring you must fast tap it else the vouchers will be fully claimed. The mystery part is usually at 8pm when the voucher can be used within seconds all 1k & 500 fully redeem.

i think VIVO global want to get rid of Vivo V-series? Suppose the S-series actually is the medium end range on CHINA , then will rename to V-series global , but surprisingly the S-series medium end suddenly join the "X-series" global which is consider High End Spec Series Maybe join the X-series will make the phone look more premium to sell.

i do read the 95% AR lens protector was the most less effect to the image quality , and the vivo X series camera front optic really easy to get scratch , i saw some china user report just few day already can get micro scratch , i been using samsung/iphone never needed to protect without scratch , maybe the coating of Zeiss not that strong or cant be strong.


Do some update to us after install the lens protector , if just effect around 5% also worth the protection

Yeah, I read some even crack their lens glassing, hence that's why i bought the protector.
First time using it. In iPhone I don't even bother because sapphire glass very strong.

Saw x200fe with Dimensity 9300+, selling RM3199 with 12G/512G with 90W charger, pre order.

Is it worth considering? What are other brands that within this price range?

Bro, vivo & Oppo flagship official price here in Malaysia is very pricey, we don't have a choice unless you buy Shopee China set. X200fe is actually rebadged of vivo S30 pro mini. Plenty of Shopee sellers are selling around RM 2649 which is very close to the 3199 price you mentioned.

At RM 3199 there are dozens of choices to choose from, my current favorite China ROM Fon is Oppo cos all Whatsapp telegram WeChat Facebook notifications received promptly. If you want only Malaysia official set, your choices are abit limited.
