QUOTE(carloz28 @ May 15 2025, 08:08 AM) My boy here think carcinogens is our biggest cancer source in malaysia lmfao This is where clarity is needed in the thinking of the rakyat as we are faced with 2 apparent kinds of evil. One kind that undermines public well being and safety through policy making that is entrenched in conflicts of interest. On the other hand some feel their moral and religious liberty is being threatened. Which is worse? Let him who has a brain to think figure it out. There’s a bigger cancer in Malaysia and it’s spreading faster than radical cells let me tell you this 🫢 |

If done right, nuclear energy is one of the best sources of energy that is available to us right now. Solar and wind are unpredictable. Hydro is damaging to environment. We should definitely have renewable yes. But nuclear is one of the best stable, controllable source of energy. The nuclear waste problem is often overblown. Most people don't know how little waste there is and it's typically stored on site. If we learn from the French where they reprocess spent fuel, the amount of waste is really miniscule. QUOTE(SharpSword @ May 15 2025, 07:40 AM) More stupidity from pmx. Why the hell we need nuclear when there is palm oil biomass, solar and hydro? Clean and renewable. Don't be an @5swipw. Nuclear is a must.Looks like this was decided time ago as the price for Russia to take the blame for mh17. Incoming: imported Chernobyl 2. Which state will be the lucky one.? Hope Penang. Don't bodo clean energy must accept nuklear soon we will use fusion from Chyna selamat digunakan. Even if meltdown biar. We make a plant near Singkiepork sahaja let them protest. Blow then they die Southern state die. |

Just so TS know, palm oil biomass is a no no as far as western opinions is concerned. Palm oil itself is bad for environment, so the west not gonna count the biomass as green energy.Looks like this was decided time ago as the price for Russia to take the blame for mh17. Incoming: imported Chernobyl 2. Which state will be the lucky one.? Hope Penang. As for solar, please force solar installers to lower price lah. The panels are supposed to be cheap because the suppliers are forced to flood the market as they lost the western market. |

Page 3 already but no one highlight basic point.
A huge chunk of Bolehland electricity is generated by coal. That's the worst kind of polluting source for electricity generation. If can switch to other fossil fuel source, long ago already switch. Ok to burn coal until when? https://www.malaymail.com/news/malaysia/202...minister/168785 There is only 1 other source that can match coal's low cost electricity generation. No prizes for guessing which source. This post has been edited by takbodoh722: May 15 2025, 11:25 AM |

Renewable energy has yet to reach mass adoption level and a lot of countries are still dependent on the traditional coal and fossil fuel, it’s slow but we are getting there Raddus liked this post

QUOTE(Aparaa @ May 15 2025, 07:44 AM) Biomas, hydro mana cukup bro. Malaysia hosting ai digital centres, industrial factories, etc. Going to need more energy in the future. The government does not do good enough in Solar energy for domestic and Commercial.Lower the installation cost of Solar to encourage every one to have it. Reduce on TNB energy. So that the quota can give to essential industry. |

QUOTE(carloz28 @ May 15 2025, 11:32 AM) Coal has been around for many decades and its dependency will not go away just because someone found a new source of energy Think about it. Malaysia' peak period electricity generation is 16GWh of which ~half is from coal. Every GW of nuclear power reduces coal use by 12.5%. The largest nuke power plant in Japan generates 8 GW, China's largest generates 6 GW.1 site in Bolehland can replace coal use (or at least put it into reserve capacity). Why cannot remove coal dependency? Its not because of technical constraint. Raddus liked this post

But at the end of the day when you get hit with cancer West not gonna pay for your treatment. As for solar, please force solar installers to lower price lah. The panels are supposed to be cheap because the suppliers are forced to flood the market as they lost the western market. I am not saying palm oil/coal is good but between that and nuclear I rather choose the former. I myself use solar 100%. The power is damn good but with the limitations of night time/dark skies. But you win some and lose some. In the long term solar is preferred. |

nuclear plant will not fly with the very unsophisticated population in Malaysia, that prefers to go drink morning coffee.

yes, the main reason is because cannot convince population. No technical constraint. Current & future generaiton of nuclear power generation is safe. Past accidents all involve early generation nuclear tech.
However convincing population of safety is an uphill task and the real reason why it can't take off. ...even in an educated country like sinkieland, cannot convince. Bolehland even more difficult. |
