u know, nuclear power plant is actually 1 of the cleanest energy bcoz how efficient it is.
the only catch is that u need to know how to manage the waste.
& with advances of technologies from the past half a century, nuclear plant actually pretty safe & waste isn't a lot & easily manageable.

it's just unfortunate that the world "nuclear" is associated with weapon.
if only when scientific market it something else last time, ie, "efficient energy", "super energy", "fusion energy", every1 will onboard.

If China successful they would be very busy installing hundreds of Thorium SMR around China. Other countries can wait long long unless we at very friendly terms can get it faster and/or cheaper.

The French EPR or CAP 1400 AP1000 derivatives are examples of large but safe nuke reactors that have perfect commercial track records. Instead of hundreds of reactors to manage, just operate 1-2 reactor. Outsource it to professionals first whilst developing talent inhouse.

One twin set already provides 20-25% of electricity needs.

My doubt with Malaysia building and operating a commercial nuclear reactor, is how many songlap layers is gonna be affecting the project, and will this negatively impact the operation and safety of said reactor.

If pmx is so convinced about its safety prove it by siting it in Cheras within View of his house. And all those who think it is safe can also shift there.

We can have nuclear energy and still have those things too y'know? Especially considering nuclear power have been tried & tested

Spain is about to waste billions to dismantle all 7 of their nuclear power stations by 2035.

So I don't know why Spain would waste billions to dismantle it and waste even more land and billions of capital to build new renewable energy.

I dont mind provided the benefits are good enough

Obviously because it is basically the same process of fusion/fission that is used to make nuclear weapons. You may not end up with a mushroom cloud but a meltdown is possible with all the contingent contamination.

Alot of people hear the taboo word “nuclear” will think of kaboom and radiation… cause watch too much of Hollywood films …
