u know, nuclear power plant is actually 1 of the cleanest energy bcoz how efficient it is.
the only catch is that u need to know how to manage the waste.
& with advances of technologies from the past half a century, nuclear plant actually pretty safe & waste isn't a lot & easily manageable.

it's just unfortunate that the world "nuclear" is associated with weapon.
if only when scientific market it something else last time, ie, "efficient energy", "super energy", "fusion energy", every1 will onboard.

sorry, nuclear power is green but not clean!
the highly radioactive byproducts is so dirty and difficult to clean even after thousands years!

Unless the state where we place the nuclear power plant provides free or heavily subsidized electricity...

As usual talk is cheap and we have people with 0 experience of handling reactors saying a lot.

If  pmx is so convinced about its safety  prove it by siting  it in Cheras within View of his house. And all those who think it is safe can also shift there.

Human advances by making mistakes and set new regulations and processes to ensure mistakes not repeated. Over the decades IAEA sets a lot of guidelines to ensure safety including distance like 10km radius from populated area, no fly zone, etc geographical guidelines … unsure where in Malaysia fit the guidelines but definitely not behind anyone of our house… to build nuclear reactor is not something can buy on Lazada and build, need a lot of agreement, certification, compliance and approval from local and international agencies to sign off qualifications.

Even if Msia want to do also may not able to find the right place to do.

which country have nuclear fusion reactor as power source??

nuclear fission of plutonium is just "clean" because it does not produce standard greenhouse gases, but it not environment friendly as it produce radioactive waste. if everyone just ignore the waste because it is "contained" is just being ignorance. sooner or later they need to dispose it somewhere... and end up basically you using "empty space" to support it..

i would argued that using nucler plant to produce green electricity, & strore waste somewhere, can last longer, & do much less damage to earth than burning fuel & fossil.

i'm not saying that nuclear power doesn't hav drawbck.
i'm saying the ratio of good:bad so much differ that it outweigh any source of energy we hav today.

Kelate is most ideal with sparse population n not much economic value.

Yes.

Facing south chyna sea it made the waste disposal easier, just in case.

I think building new nuclear power plant would be safe for our generation, but you know la this is Malaysia, 30-40 years later what will happen? Just look on the recent Putra Heights gas pipe incident as the example.

Those nuclear power plant usually had disaster and leak incident after operating for 20 years above right? Especially long term maintenance work, when new everyone take extra caution, after few years people tend to "tidak apa, lalai, tutup mata pass checking etc"

The ideal place for it are near industrial area and on an island. So penang it is people. From there we can connect the power grid to semenanjung area.

Best remote place to build nuclear plant

While Germany’s nuclear exit is a bold and politically popular move. people are worried
but

SMR is only for those small countries that don't have much land.

Bolehland has 4675km of coastline and 330000 km2 of land area. Cannot find 1 small minimally inhabited plot to house a power plant?

The French EPR or CAP 1400 AP1000 derivatives are examples of large but safe nuke reactors that have perfect commercial track records. Instead of hundreds of reactors to manage, just operate 1-2 reactor. Outsource it to professionals first whilst developing talent inhouse.

One twin set already provides 20-25% of electricity needs.
*
SMR is good for those without access to the sea.

And SMR is good for those with very poor maintenance mindset because it employs passive safety, anything goes wrong it shuts down on its own.

Large nuclear reactors take too long to build.

They have gone full retard, Spain plan to DISMANTLE all 7 nuclear power stations by 2035, and then waste even more money by grabbing farm land from farmers to build even more of those fake green renewable energy.

So everything will be expensive thanks to their retarded politicians, energy and food.
