I hope TM/Unifi is aware and fix it eventually

Mine using nextdns also suffering bad latency.

I also feel the Internet has been slow in the past two days. I always turn off the company's VPN when I use the laptop, as Reddit blocks the connection.

I have no choice but to use the company's VPN now, and it is fast again.

UniFi at my sister's house in Seremban, my own house in KL is using Maxis but I don't go back there in the mean time.

How did you do it though?

Do you have anything for me to read about this? Sounds nice. Not sure my Asus router works or not.

The problem is more complicated than that.
TM do not have enough capacity on their International Gateway. They have been dancing with this by using BGP to try and load balance traffic across different circuit.
Whenever Cloudflare reroute KUL traffic, their PNI is rendered useless and suddenly all those traffic flows through their IGW.
It's a congestion problem.
Everything in TM needs an upgrade.
Even their ring network do not have enough capacity in more and more places.

The Cloudflare network issue seems resolved now.

For Unifi we have username and password for the PPPoE, how about Maxis fiber? Anyone know about this? Can we request from Maxis if we want to setup our own router ?

Not DNS issues, it is the IPv4 for my area bursted.
You can see the bottleneck is route #2 which is 100.89.191.254.
Ya, yesterday night strange, only v4 bursted, v6 running like nothing happen, might be something happen at the CGNAT.

For DNS, it still depend.
Like Steam, using Google DNS bring me to server without throttled by TM, while 1.1.1.1 doing the reverse.

But, Google DNS kick me to HK IPv6 Aliyun, while 1.1.1.1 bring me to Malaysia IPv4 Aliyun(by not return any IPv6 address).
A lot of times Google DNS doing this, a far far away IPv6 server, so...

It is still kind of depend, like yesterday night, sure kick me to IPv6 solved the network issues.

packet loss are same on my side, but yesterday night was, you wanna 90% packet loss at IPv4, or 30-40% packet loss at IPv6, bad or worst only 2 choice.

Gonna come in handy when Fakmi is trying to make all social media companies use MyDigital ID for Malaysian.

In the future maybe all IP address from Malaysia will require this while other country's IP don't.

Internet just felt so slow without VPN, any idea to fix it without restarting to another IP?

Tried to login lowyat, but it stuck at cloudflare error. Had to use VPN to login.
