Compared to Thais, Pinoys and Indonesians yes
Malays here never try to push national assimilation like those countries We the only country in this region, even the world that accommodate mother tongue education system. Chinese and Indian school is allowed to be alongside the national school system. You cannot find this in other countries |

Random post in TikTok then claim it's historical fact. Senang aje nak rewrite history pulak. Let's ask ourselves - who made deals with the British (and the Dutch before that)? Susah nak jawab kan? "Bled for the independence of this land" - really? Did we fight a war for independence to achieve it in 1957? Just in case you all /k tards forgot your Sejarah, the independence delegation with Tunku to London included Tun Abdul Razak, Tun Dr. Ismail, Tun HS Lee and TH Tan. karazure liked this post

(Not sure whether did he said bugis after the pahlawan wording) - Some Indo words start getting into Bahasa Malaysia. Before Dutch and British came the whole area is called Malay Archipelago .. it stretch between Sumatra, Java to Peninsular Malay Ppl live, jump and hop between the peninsular and the islands around it freely. Malacca Sultanate and then Johor-Riau is the biggest influence and power base hence why Malay is the lingua franca or trade language in this region and the reason why the most busiest trade route is called straits of malacca , not Indo or something. The Dutch even adopted Malay language as a base for their territory modern language (later renamed as bahasa indonesia) for fak sake, not Javanese or any other Then British and Dutch decided to split the Malay Archipelago into two .. and that is beginning of Malaysia and Indonesia as two separate nations and split the Malays archipelago So it is so stupid to say that malay here in Malaysia is actually from ‘Indonesia’ or anything as both countries only created in 1945 and 1957 due to colonial influence… previously both are actually the same |

Historical explorers from Portuguese, Dutch, Arabs and China already long name this area as Malay Archipelago with Malay as lingua franca Malay civilisation due to trade with India, influenced by them and then the Arabs bring in another wave of influence so Malay language is also contained word from Hindi and also arabic. Australia western civilisation under Captain Cook came way later and in different situations |

eee... another stupid video from brain damaged platform called tiktok used to spread misinformation again. 1) https://www.malaysiakini.com/news/408596#:~...nd%20not%20race. 2) read how many non being awarded with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Knight_...lour#Recipients QUOTE The Grand Knight of Valour, as the highest Armed Forces Gallantry Award, is the highest in the order of precedence in the awards and decorations of the Malaysian Armed Forces. It is also the highest award of the Malaysian Federal Awards, outranking the awards which carry the title of Datuk, Tan Sri, or Tun as usual, pipit paling senang diperbodohkan. just another day, pipit type m being spoonfed by misinformation.
QUOTE “These officers and men had their share of casualties and also their much-deserved share of gallantry awards,” he said. He said the success of the security forces against Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) insurgents and urban terrorists was to a large extent attributed to many dangerous and highly classified covert operations of the Special Branch and military intelligence, whose many officers were Chinese. https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/...ting-for-nation |

Muslim convert Shahid King Bolsen, from the US, killed 58-year-old Martin Herbert Steiner in 2006 with a lethal dose of the powerful anaesthetic chloroform. Bolsen and his Ethiopian maid were accused of luring married Steiner to Bolsen’s Sharjah home with promises of sex. He claims Steiner got aggressive and he administered the lethal drug to stop him. In his battle to avoid the firing squad Bolsen, a father of four, made an emotional statement in which he admitted his crime but claims it was unintentional, saying: “I’m not guilty of murder, I’m not a threat to society.” https://shahidkingbolsen.org/biography/ QUOTE Malaysia Upon moving to Malaysia, Shahid became a Strategist and Adviser with human rights campaigners supporting the Rohingyas. Shahid continues to work as PR strategist and Legal Consultant for NGOs, Human rights groups and politicians globally. In June 2021, He created a social media channel named ‘Qawwamun’ primarily to refute the concepts promoted by the Red Pillers, Rollo Tomassi and their ilk, and to promote healthier and more Islamic correct views on masculinity and gender relations. By the end of the year, the channel was rebranded ‘The Middle Nation’ in order to fulfil a much broader goal and wider array of issues than the narrow spectrum of the previous channel. Shahid is currently active on the Middle Nation Channel, the official channel for the content of Shahid Bolsen pursuing three main priorities: Promoting the Economic Sovereignty of Muslim Countries. The Political Independence of Muslim Countries. The Psychological De-colonization of Muslims collectively. And lastly: QUOTE We as non-Malays have it good over here TS another wangkongyew dupe? |

QUOTE(Stigonboard @ Apr 21 2025, 11:25 PM) Totally wrong That is a weak point. The Malay arrived before Portuguese, Dutch etc. Even if they named it Malay Archipelago doesn’t mean the Malay are orang asli. It just means Malay are here earlier than the Portuguese, Dutch etc. Australia western civilisation under Captain Cook came way later and in different situations Same like the whites in Australia, What circumstance and when they arrive doesn’t matter. The point is they came from other places. That is why the whites in Australia are not orang asli (because they came from other places). |

QUOTE(differ @ Apr 21 2025, 11:19 PM) Random post in TikTok then claim it's historical fact. Senang aje nak rewrite history pulak. Yes, many forget this piece of historyLet's ask ourselves - who made deals with the British (and the Dutch before that)? Susah nak jawab kan? "Bled for the independence of this land" - really? Did we fight a war for independence to achieve it in 1957? Just in case you all /k tards forgot your Sejarah, the independence delegation with Tunku to London included Tun Abdul Razak, Tun Dr. Ismail, Tun HS Lee and TH Tan. what freed from british empire? who adopted the people? did british empire abandoned the people? we are basically at each other's throat, racial tensions had reached a boiling point to the point blood had spilled onto the ground. to accept his history do a huge disservice to all people that involved. The japanese occupation During the japanese occupation of malaya, the slogan "asia for asians" and the promise of self-governance led malay to welcome the japanese with open arms. However, others chose to resist, forming forces like the malayan people's anti japanese army (mpaja mostly chinese) and the indian national army (ina) to defend tanah melayu against the invaders. Despite initial resistance, the british forces were defeated and eventually withdrew. At first, the occupation brought betrayal and targeted genocide toward mostly chinese and indians, often carried out by local informants collaborators mostly malay under japanese orders. But eventually, the japanese regime treated all locals equally—harshly. People soon realised that the promises of self-governance and prosperity were empty. Life under occupation was brutal and oppressive. After japan's defeat With japan’s surrender, a power vacuum emerged. Former resistance groups like the mpaja—many of whom were aligned with the communist party of malaya (mpc also mostly chinese)—rose in influence, leading to what is now referred to as the “13 days of terror” or the beginning of the malayan emergency. During this period of lawlessness, the mcp attempted to seize control and establish a new government. They targeted collaborators, police officers, teachers, and informants who had assisted the japanese, enabled the occupation and genocide. Revenge attacks were carried out, often along racial lines against malay, leading to further bloodshed. The ina, which had opposed japanese rule, did not support the communists either, but among them also supported acts of revenge against the malay. However, the mcp also targeted the ina, adding to the chaos. Eventually, the british military returned, reestablishing control through military administration and restoring some order. The Road to Independence Before independence, chinese, indians, and other non malay groups were not automatically granted citizenship in tanah melayu. The british pushed for inclusive citizenship through proposals like the malayan union and the federation of malaya, but these were met with strong opposition from the malays and umno (over simplification but it's one of the reason). After world war 2, the idea of independence resurfaced but was initially rejected. The british government made it clear: independence would only be granted if a multiracial agreement could be achieved especially regarding citizenship and political cooperation. The events of the "13 days of terror" or some called it "red terror" were used as a cautionary tale, highlighting the dangers of division. This eventually led to negotiations involving 4 key figures from all major ethnic groups and a british. The result was the formation of a social contract, a compromise in which non-malays were granted citizenship, while malays were accorded special rights. This agreement paved the way for tanah melayu’s eventual independence. This post has been edited by junsheng: Apr 22 2025, 01:56 AM |

People regardless of race are OK. It's the greedy leaders and politicians that stir things up in this blessed land. We are better off in a system where there is no election but the best, most qualified leader is appointed by a council of elders and smart people. Western democracy is stupid when you have corrupt and dumb idiots getting elected everywhere.

Onesided opinion, the Malay lost their power in multiple states upon British rules. In other words no choice but to accept British to bring in other ethics as workforces.
Is was multiple negotiation to draft the constitution with the British before independent represented by multi enthincs. Also before the constitution many Malay are not automatically Muslim. The video kind of want to link Malay with Muslim teaching with good tolerance which is only half true because before constitution, Malay are not necessarily Muslim. QUOTE(abm @ Apr 22 2025, 12:07 AM) That is a weak point. The Malay arrived before Portuguese, Dutch etc. Even if they named it Malay Archipelago doesn’t mean the Malay are orang asli. It just means Malay are here earlier than the Portuguese, Dutch etc. In history the ‘rights’ always depends on who create the culture and language ot that particular region .. Same like the whites in Australia, What circumstance and when they arrive doesn’t matter. The point is they came from other places. That is why the whites in Australia are not orang asli (because they came from other places). Even in China they can argue the indigenous is way earlier than all the Hans or any other but history will record as Han is the earliest to build civilisation and set the culture, government and language Yes orang asli is earlier respectfully in Malay archipelago but they dont do anything related to civilisation |

Well truth be told, the british were invited in due royal infighting among Malay rulers. One party wanted the British to side them agains the other (Selangor and Johor for example)
and to get them out of course they were malay resistance : tok janggut, mat kilau etc. But organised anti-british resistance actually came in the form of the Communist Party of Malaya (Malayan Emegency) and they did the most damage to the British killing Henry Gurney, the British High Commissioner in Malaya, to the extent it was better to leave Malaya |

QUOTE Most of the Indigenous communities of Sarawak do not have legal rights to the land that they depend on for their lives and livelihoods. This means that the government has the ability to lease community lands to timber or plantation companies. These companies often forcefully remove people from their own land. Companies use the land for profit, without sharing the benefits with local communities. For communities actively seeking legal land rights, the cost and time involved in the process is often a barrier that is impossible to overcome (for more information on this struggle, https://borneoproject.org/land-rights/ This post has been edited by smsid: Apr 22 2025, 10:49 AM ctys2012 liked this post

Appreciating it doesn't mean everyone has to kowtow to it. Yeah, we're multiracial and supports multi beliefs but you can't deny that there have been cases when other beliefs are trampled over. The first step to fixing a problem is to admit that there is a problem. If you continue to just play along, how can you acknowledge it?

QUOTE(damonlbs @ Apr 22 2025, 08:25 AM) your nieve So you dont believe in manipulation of fear by politicians? People fear what they don't know... Like malays who bought into bs from umno that all chinese are racists... Or non malays who fear Islam because they believe bs from dap that all muslims are bad and islam is terrorist religion...why politicians sell racism if the voter not buying...? last time was umno selling for over 60 years only now is been take over by PN supply and demand |
