Without British , Kelantan still under Siam and Singapore still under Johor. If not British , each state's faith would be different and no Independence. They should be the one who should feel grateful but yet they still love calling the non as Pendatang.
Look at Indonesia Gdp then you would know how it probably ends up.
Hypothetically if British never been here the whole places would be messy as Indonesia will claim some, then Siam will claim some.
