I decided to try out one pack of Bordier from curiosity.
Bloody expensive but permanently ruined my standards on butter.
Now I can no longer look at cheaper butters the same way.

Get any butter and make burnt butter from it.
Beat le beurre bordier butter anyday

yea farm fresh milk is nicer than other foreign brands like dlady marigold etc. Smooth and not that fatty.

but their yoghurt is meh, just taste like solid milk. I prefer fernleaf yoghurt, it is very sour and suits my taste smile.gif

Any proof to your claims? All i read online its that its pure butter. Even marketed as such.

It is pure butter.

Like orange drink in your local shop, it is made of pure orange, 100% real orange, but the question is there other ingredients like sugar?

They are playing with words, it is an easy marketing strategy.

On food labels, butter refers to a dairy product made from churning milk or cream, containing at least 80% milk fat, and can be salted or unsalted.
Lesser than minimum requirement %, you are not allow to label it as butter.
Therefore Farm Fresh is butter since it meet the minimum requirement. If not it can be only label as marjerin or spread (usually mixed with vegetable oil)

Same goes to other food label requirement and standard.
Example:-

Potato Chips vs Potato Crisp
Fruit Juice vs Fruit Drink
Ice cream vs Ice Confection

In fact most of you daily consume product it not you thought it's.
Example most the "ice cream" locally produced are just ice confection.
When it melts, there is a obvious separation between water and "cream" This is due to water and vegetable oil doesnt mix well where else true ice cream melts, it's just milk fat, sugar and air. Wont have such obvious separation.

marketing failure yet again

at 250g, the rate will be RM 13.30, not sure if they worried that people won't buy or what but the perceived RM 10.65 per block is deceiving.

always one step forward, two steps back, no brains to do the right thing.

I pity their shareholders

Unfortunately I am a simple man, I prefer plain butter on plain bread. biggrin.gif
So I like to find butter that tastes great from the package.
