Yea, when I started eating greek yogurt for breakfast more than a decade ago, Sunglo was my 1st brand for about a year because it's the cheapest. But overtime I don't really like the texture, a little too solid for my taste. Other foreign brands add cream to their yogurt so it has a creamier texture which I like.

Believed the Sunglo thickness because they filter the whey more compare to the other brand. if they add cream then it wont be 100% yogurt anymore.

Actually not lie, Buttercup didn't use Butter keyword on the block. They use "Spread"

From baker's point of view, its only 200g. Most recipes use 250g or 224g so its not efficient. Pricewise they're putting themselves in the slightly mid tier premium range. The packaging does looks good though.

Personally, I'd rather skip this and go for a more seasoned brand like SCS or Golden Churn. I'm just trying out Westgold butter which I hear a better butter at just under rm20 for a 250g block.
*
agree.

farm fresh didn't even have the weight mark (50g | 100g | 150g | 200g) on the packaging where i find convenient for cooking and baking.

for toasted bread, the 200g block slice not tall enough for spreading the whole slice bread. if cut thicker then the melting speed not nice compared to 250g block.

taste wise, i prefer heavier taste SCS than farm fresh.

golden churn more creamy but i still prefer SCS more.

next time will try westgold and other french butter.

anchor butter also taste too light for me.

Yes ghee bestest sama Planta marjerin gooding enough for B40 and most kedai roti. Why they bother whatever butter as long as get money from poor sods that can't tell apart things made with butter marjerin or any spread.

Inb4 lawaklah ramli burger stalls use buttercup or Le Beurre Bordier. Burger stalls use these lah:

That's margerin. The price alone should tell you which is which.

Kinda like sunglo red cover. Firstly it’s cheaper than the rest and second it makes my Protien mix yoghurt has a ice cream like texture

Farm fresh market this product as "The Butter" cos it is not 100% pure butter, as it is blended with other ingredients.
Therefore it couldn't claim to be 100% pure Butter.

Whereas Anchor 100% pure Butter is made exclusively from milk or cream or both, with or without common salt and with or without additional coloring matter and contains not less than 80% by weight of milk fat.

Nah ini material for LOD ini lmao are you ready? brows.gif

Tomorrow if got chance will go buy and taste the farm fresh butter.

I tried, indeed its butter, tastes good, better than anchor imo

And for its price point, RM10+ for 200g (Lotus) I would say its a good value

20% less butter (50g), so if you factor that back into the price its roughly RM13

I buy 0%, as i am trying to keep my body fit. If you are already fit and fats not an issue, then can get the 10% one.

Actually I've also read an article about this many years ago. It says to avoid dairy products with the low-fat or zero-fat label because manufacturers have to add other stuff to mimic the taste & richness of milk fat. So when I buy milk, I always go for full cream.

But that was many many years ago, I don't know if there's any new studies that counters it.
