I was in KK from 14/1 and just return to KL today afternoon. My father passed away and went home to give last respect. The last few days, rain like cat and dog plus lightening some more. My house kena black out twice also during rain and lightening.

Several roads were flooded. Jalan Penampang in front of QE also kena.

Hey guys

I need some advice here. I am planning to go to Sabah on August (For around a week).

May I know what's the best way to book for the hiking of KK? Does it come in a package usually, I thought of saving the hassle because I don't plan to book the itineraries individually for the hiking.

Is it enough If I allocate around RM400 for the hiking alone?

not sure what you want to hike in KK,
but if you mean to climb mount kinabalu,
then you can check sutera harbour rate and package first.
get the appropriate booking date before you book your flight.

Yup, it's Kota Kinabalu. If I'm there for a week, what other place you recommend me to go perhaps? I may rent a car there. Can P driver rent a car btw?

Food prices in the suburb areas are often more expensive than KL. I can never understand why they sell seafood at such a high price when they are tons of seafood in Sabah mad.gif Even a plate of char siew kon lau mee is in the RM5 - RM6 range now ohmy.gif

Opps, Forgot to participate here

I will never ever stay at Tune hotel in KK. 1borneo is just too damn far from town center and the price for shopping there is MUCH more expensive than in KL. Parking there is RM 6 per ENTRY not per DAY. Spent like RM 30 for parking there itself.

Btw, I plan to go back there and spend the night in kundasang. I see a lot of cheap motel and chalet there. Any recommendation?

On my previous trip, i stay at Tang Dynasty park Hotel. (there are 2 tang dynasty hotels in KK city, i stayed the one @ Jalan Belia)

Feedback
- value for money
- well maintained, comfortable for its price.
- hospitality is better than expected
- no parking problems

- i will definitely stay @ this hotel again.

I am a Sabahan. Sabah is not the place for shopping and I don't understand why they open shopping mall one after another. Sabahan go to KL for shopping because KL is cheaper.

Even the food also doesn't make any sense. We have abundant sea product and yet when you want to eat seafood the price damn expensive. I guess Sabahan must start change their mindset when come to business. They must prepare for the open market concept otherwise Sabah will never be able to catch up with modern and fast pace world. Forever become katak bawah tempurung.

Seafood for me is VERY cheap compare to KL standard la. That day we went to new gaya. Ate 2 KG of clams. 7 Oysters. 1 Kg crab, 800 G of fish + rice , 1 plate of vege and tea for 7 only 192. Cant get it in KL with that price and freshness

I am going to Sabah for the 3rd time in this May with friends.
At first we wanted to climb Mount Kinabalu, but as the budget is very expensive ...So we all decided to make other activities. We have made research for outdoor activities such as
Silau Silau-Trail, Langganan Waterfall Trekking and Sapi Island Trekking.
So ... anybody has try this xtvt?.
