no, those who are kidnapped are outside of malaysian borders
they dnt dare to come inside and kidnap because many(esscom) are waiting for them
so now they kidnap those who are on a boat outside of sabah borderline

What are those tourists doing outside Sabah borders?

Sorry I've never been to Sabah. Is because of island hopping like Phuket ?

Went to SAFMA market in KK nearby the phillipines market. But the locals told me seafood are even better in Tawau. Price wise, of course very good if u compare to EM. Got myself scallops for RM8/kg . I havent seen fresh scallops here in Klang market so somewhat jakun hahaha bought so much but donno wat to do do with it. But I was most excited with the fresh prawns priced at RM26/kg for XL size. I used to buy M sized prawns for RM29/kg in Klang market, so yeah, I was very much greedy.

Hi, does anyone know that the beaches at Shang Ri La Rasa Ria is publicly accessible?

Thanks

I don't think so. There's nothing else other than the resort in the close proximity n when you enter the resort they require your name or room number

1 island, 2 or 3?
which islands are ranked the best?
mamukan? sapi? gaya? mamutik?

am targeting the zipline, previous trip, it was closed.

is the sea walk worth it? RM150 per person wor...
banana boat was such a huge disappointment. unlike those in thailand where it's almost unlimited rides for 15 minutes or so...

I don't think you need to go to Gaya Island.

For island- would like to consider Sepanggar or Mantanani island? Is your main focus spending your entire time on the island or incorporate island 'visiting' part of your itinerary?

Ah,...so its like a day trip. However, here's what I would advise and comment on Sepanggar Island and Mantanani island

For Sepanggar island - its closer to the jetty therefore departure time is not v early in the morning however diving sites are not as beautiful (compared to Mantanani island) and not much can be done in Sp.island

For Mantanani island - it takes abt 1.5 hrs to reach the island so set off time will be earlier in the morning. Time will be taken up during the journey there so staying overnight in either the lodges or hostel will be recommended so that u wont need to rush back (to catch the last trip back from the island to the mainland). The diving sites are recommended.

I can send to you the itineraries for both the island if u would like. Pls provide me, your email address, dates that u would like to go and the number of pax (adults and kids if any).
