ngl, if just basing on the title - the poll's quite funny lol.gif
ayam meresian, my spouse is meresian, are we celebrating together gether? - yes. laugh.gif

yes, ayam got readed your post also, so :-
tbh whilst it is a religion associated event, being a big thing for Christians, peeps like me just celebrate jer, gift exchange macam being chance to express thankful/grateful and also an opportunity to meet-up, whether with friends or family.

Macam raya la, setahun pun hanya sekali jer. Ramadhan time saya pun buka puasa with my kolik, then raya they open house we visit jugak - same when Deepavali and dong dong chang - life is short, you(whoever reading this) can choose to enjoy the celebrations that are readily around you or you can be a sensitive strawberry.

if you are the latter, then baik you tell your bos you are champion worker, die die also work on holidays that are NOT your religion, don't ambik leave sama sama balik kampung pulak - takde kan? berani kerana benar bro! cojonesnya mana pandan!

Happy holidays! wub.gif

No ‘need’, but I expect you to refrain from trying to defend people who insist that Malaysians CANNOT spend Christmas together.

What this also means is that I expect you to notice that nobody is forcing you to celebrate, but the expectation is that you refrain from trying to gaslight people into sharing your koyak belief that people should NOT celebrate together.

You don’t wanna celebrate? Make it your own problem. You can follow whatever outdated ulama you wanna follow (btw even the Mufti of WP hints that the view of the no-wish ulama is outdated lol) but do us a favor and don’t spread either Fitnah or the idea that there is a good reason to STOP Malaysians from celebrating together if they want to do so.

You are of christian faith, I assume?

Someone reported this post for some reason!

Lol could be one of those triggered people who can’t stand it when people come together.

It’s a simple and serious question, anonymous acquaintance.
What, are you not happy that someone has decided to address this question out in open for once?

If you think the answer is ‘no’, just answer ‘no’. Simple. 🤭

Their council of village idiots already said it's an offence for them to wish Christians "merry Xmas" as if they will not goto heaven shd they do so. Also, cannot attend xmas parties as there might liquor involved or probabaly babi guling/non-halal roasted turkey too? How wud this affect them when they visit malls with Xmas decor and take pixs? Next year wud prolly be a ruling against this also? No more gift exchange and secret santa in office? I did this while working in PETH, so how?

To be fair, you wouldn’t read through my long paragraphs or try to even understand my thinking if you were one of those ignorant dungus.

I could say something mocking here, but think about this fact for a while.

If you are here in this thread, even after everything that was said before (which, by the way, I believe in), then what does that say about you?

Are you one of the ‘dungus’ who is likely to make the problem worse? 🤭

Exactly. Your 1st post itself already got reported and nothing insensitive was said.

Aren't you already scratching your head as to why that happens? Ignorant dungus don't need a reason or logic.

There are some people who insist that Christmas is a season for people ONLY of a specific set of races and faiths in Malaysia.
Yes for real Malaysians because Malaysia is "multiracial" and "multi-religion".

No for non-Malaysians because they only believe in their own race. They may have Malaysia ICs or special status, but their values are shit enough that God forgets about them. Ignore

I tend to think that people are smarter than you give them credit for, and I tend not to think that people are stupid or try to look down on them – I can’t assume that people may be emotional at a point, but I think it is unlikely that they will uniformly decide to stop looking at something that they were exposed to just because they are displeased with it; it is possible that that behavior can take place, but it is unlikely to uniformly be the case.

My thought is that if people don’t participate in that, then they are more likely to be the kind of person that my content targets - the people who are actually able to patiently read through everything.

Looks like the content found its mark in you.

Merry Christmas, friends!

Thanks for voting in the poll!

Here’s a link to a video I made about this smile.gif

If you were pissed off by what I said, feel free to continue being pissed off - if you agreed, you’ll find some other people who share the same view there.

Cheers and have a great one ahead!

celebrate saturnalia, birth of mithra, pagan traditions and birth of Jesus?

I'm happy for you and your families of those who are celebrating.

But don't shove the festivities down our throat. There are some who have different faith. Are you that insecure that you need everyone to celebrate with you?

We also won't be offended if you won't celebrate hajj, aidilfitri, because we know its very faith specific. Just enjoy your holiday with your family and friends, that is all.

You definitely can celebrate together, the makan part and the fun part. Just do not involve Muslims in the religious part of it. Just like you visit your friends during hari raya or deepavali.

already ask him to define which one he is referring to...

but he still wants to debate about it to show it intellectual incompetency. it's a very simple question actually, now busy calling people names. not the first time he does that.

finally end with the tune, why can't we celebrate christmas. FOR REAL??

Oh you’re still obsessed with me? Keep on being obsessed.

I’m not going to change my behavior for you and I’m happy to keep goading you until your obsession reaches a fever pitch or you just leave the discussion.

Either are fine with me. Not like you answered my question about why you even raised my Mensa membership in the first place, so it’s interesting that now you’re crying about how I allegedly didn’t answer your question or rather saying that the thread hasn’t gone anywhere when it’s clearly gone on for a full page beyond your last post, even as you’ve asked for the attention that I just didn’t choose to give you. 🤭

First comment? It looks like you are excessively pedantic.

I’m quite confident that those who want to stop people from taking part in celebrating Christmas would happily stop people from both joining in on parties as well as in the religious aspect, incidentally, which means that they would stop Malays from participating in EITHER ONE of these celebrations so defined, and they wouldn’t be distinguishing them.

It’s quite obvious that Muslims have an issue with ‘celebrate’ defined as participating in the religious aspect and it’s also quite obvious that I’m not saying they should celebrate in that sense.

I’m very obviously referring to the idea that people shouldn’t stop their fellow Malaysians from taking part in celebrations as in parties or otherwise - it’s the most natural interpretation, and it’s also quite natural to imagine that our buruk sangka kakis will bar their friends from all parties for fear that even if they go makan they will end up getting converted.

What, did you think I was suggesting that all Muslims should take part in religious celebrations? Of course not!

Since you mentioned a Mensa membership in the first place, were you suggesting that I’m allegedly a person with a high IQ (I didn’t confirm or deny this) and hence ‘I should know this’?

Well, my perspective is that you’re probs a low IQ person and hence you need incessant clarification even as you try to get my attention lol, and this applies whether my IQ is high or low, as I neither confirm nor deny what you claim.

Why do people even need to ‘define’ celebration and why is whether the thread progresses or not related to whether I entertain your question as you desperately seek my attention when at heart, this is a poll thread?

And yes, I will deal with whom I consider enemies of the state in my own way, and also encourage the population to deal with them in accordance with my preferred approach.

Don’t be too sad if it doesn’t align with what you believe.

I lose nothing from not choosing to interact with you, so just leave it. It’s just an online discussion after all, isn’t it? 😊
