I tested using my MacBook Pro, detected as thunderbolt4. Tested transfer 7gb less than 10 sec. Cannot hear fan. It is bronze metal for heat , provided thermal pad and rubber outside to protect the enclosure. Did not run benchmark as company laptop (cannot install app). But I got ugreen 5gb enclosure , so it is faster.

M4 already very powerful vs other machine outside. I find it good deal.
If you give me a choice, my answer is apple vs windows. I changed to apple since 5 years ago. Os and stability is the problem on windows. A lot of people compare the powerful of android and windows laptop hw , but apple wont lose due to it ecosystem integration, stability and use less resources
