go to the shop u bought the controller... tell them NICELY its not the ori authentic controlller by sony... becoz it cannot function on current update3.50(They will probably deny/ say supplier lied to them as well)

if they already told you that they have 2 type of DS3 and 2 prices before you buy.. its not their fault for selling you the 3rd party, if you insisted on the cheaper one.. unless u ask for an ori DS3 n they gave you the 3rd party ones..

then u must ask them to replace an AUTHENTIC & ORIGINAL controller for u if they have any...plus they will ask you to top up according to Ori ds3 price... if i were u i wont top any more than RM130.. coz for the trouble that u going back n forth n getting a substandard controller should be compesate.. or u can exchange other item+topup like alex said..

if you cannot resolve the matter in a winwin condition.. other options is to go to the authorities like tribunal pengguna..

i went to the shop.. told him about it.. he was feeling abit frustrated as this is 2nd time already.. i told him everything n i even told him the controller is fake.. he told me to leave the controller there n will call me in 1 hour time coz he want to ask supplier about it..

After 1 hour, he told me that controller is not fake, its ori but from HK.. i was thinking to myself that any region does not affecct as long as its ori.. he was kind enough to asked me if i want to refund or topup for ori controller from singapore.. topup rm35.. then i went to his shop to see him.. he said that confirm this singapore controller can work n its ori, i told him what if it happen like the previous want.. he says he will refund me back 10 x the original price of DS3 which is RM1300 i was carried away by his confidence about it n decided to topup rm35..from its original price rm150

i came back to test n now everything works well.. same as my other ds3



eventhough i almost got cheated, i would still go back to him coz his kindness offering to refund me back the full amount of money..

some seller genuinely are not well informed by supplier about the product they sell... thats y i put the sentence in bracket like below

at least they entertain you n u got ur controller issue solved..
its up to ur descretion whether to continue to support the shop or not..

some mistakes are genuine.. while some trying to get quick bucks..

yea thats very true.. i think in my case.. the supplier is didn't inform him much about controllers.. coz when i ask him whether it support 3.50 fw or not, he gotta cal supplier to ask

2) Price?
3) Number of Controllers (Ori / 3rd Party)
4) modded or not?
5) Number of years used?
6) etc

hi senior gamers here....my dad recently bought a 46" led hdtv,the colours are fantastic...and i am wondering how if play ps3 games using that tv...must be fantastic...now my questions is whether to get ps3 or xbox.....i feel ps3 is better...what u guys think??

Hmm, previously we only give people one perception - modded and unmodded and majority of people will go for Xbox360 for obvious reason.

However, that kind of comparison sort of went to heck now, so I will give you some pointers that I feel is useful:

1) Graphic - People might disagree with this, but if really want to compare, PS3 win by a couple of blocks - Examples are: Final Fantasy XIII, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 and NBA Games. - PS3 win on this.

2) Games available - Both PS3 and Xbox360 have almost the same equal number of games available in the market. Whether it is good games or not, that is another question. Draw

3) Exclusive Games available -
Xbox360 got Gears series, Fable series, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Alan Wake, Blue Dragon, Forza Series, Halo Series, Kinect and Lost Odyssey etc
PS3 got Demon Souls, Gran Turismo 5, Heavy Rain, inFamous, Initial D, Killzone Series, Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Motorstorm Series, Rachet and Clank Series, Resistance Series, Uncharted Series and Yakuza Series.
Verdict: PS3 just edge through on the Exclusive Games, but Microsoft is getting there. Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid are major coups for Microsoft.

4) Console Reliability - Although that Jasper and new Xbox360 slim had been very reliable, the dreaded RROD still happens on a 30% rate, while PS3 got less than 20% failure rate. Still, PS3 repair is more expensive than Xbox360 repair.

5) Network games - Due to the number of famous games in PS1 and PS2, PSN is always more interesting than Xbox Live, though Xbox Live has more ingenuity / new games. Special mention had to be given to Wii Virtual Console, where a lot of us can relive our childhood / young days.

6) Multiplayer - (mostly applicable if using unmodded console), crisp and good for both, though I saw reviews that Xbox360 Multiplayer is more "common", hence more offerings.

There are of course other things to compare, like cost, future aspect etc etc. You can do all these comparision between you make decision

For me I have been playing mostly xbox games lately. Biggest reason being I can get cheaper second hand games at less than RM50 a piece. Most of the time I play older games since I can't afford new games at RM150.

I'd just like to point out that even though PS3 graphics are technically better, many multiplatform games out there seem to be developing their game giving priority to the Xbox instead, so in way too many cases the Xbox 360 wins in terms of graphics and performance. A great example is Bayonetta. No matter what way you look at it, the 360 version is superior with less loading times, solid 60fps, less screen tearing, better textures and no slowdowns. PS3 version is good and all, but imho is unplayable compared to the 360 version.

Yes if you take a game developed for the PS3(God of War 3) and a game developed for the 360(Gears of War 2), the PS3 wins hands down, but at the end of the day there are only so many exclusive games for the PS3, and most of the popular games are made available on both systems, superior version usually being on the 360.

I can be wrong in some cases, I.E. Darksiders has a more solid framerate on the PS3 and has less screen tearing, and Fallout 3 IIRC had like better draw distance or something? I forgot.

PS3 got more jrpg games and xbox 360 got more fps games.. see which 1 u prefer.. but when come to online game play.. xbox live is more smooth than psn.. when i play ps3 game online it's always lag.. even though sometimes it's juz lag a bit but when come to fighting game then ur timing all gone.. it's juz my personal opinion.. but i more prefer ps3 bcos i love rpg games

trogdor1oh1 is right... if you put a test displaying a same title game on both consoles.. usually xbox is much more superior in graphics & load times... but only a few will look better on ps3 e.g: ff13

XBOX last time also got a lot of JRPG and come out continue.. like blue dragon, lost odyysey, tales of vesperia, infinite undiscovery, star ocean 4.. but after tat hav become quiet already and only come out once in a while..

People still like JRPGs? ._.
