seem like you already separate both of them, both of them is same sex or different sex pair?
from now on, keep monitor both of them, since you said both of them injured.
see how's the movement, eating, resting, sleeping, all aspect you have to monitor it.
any situation comes, you need to take care of it fast, if not for worst, it may die.

silent wheel? like how? picture?

erm, put them back together as what you mean? i hope not, you can put one of them in intro box though, wait till the wound recover fully then only put them together after a proper introduction.

yaya, for normal mongolian gerbils, is around that price,rm48 - rm68 at my place, for kl area, i think is around rm30- rm50, i'm not sure about it. for fat-tail gerbils, it can up to rm100 - rm150.

if you want to get from local pet shop, why don't you get from breeder at here? price compare, more cheap, then health concern, more secure.

blueheng, let me take care of it la, haha...

abang, don't use tank to keep them when u get introduction, even u put in a tank then inside the big tank, there is no use, cause they can't sniff each other smell.
use mesh wire, check on the 1st page, there got write about how to intro.

QUOTE(BlueHeng @ Nov 22 2008, 06:55 PM)
Haha... where you stay ah? I might need a few gerbil expert contacts so I can contact them in case there's some problem at home.
May it RIP. I'm sure your gerbil had a good life as your pet.

Hey guys I'll be going to Australia for a year next year and my siblings may not be able to take care of them. I might consider giving them away to a responsible owner. May I know whether anyone here might be interested in case I really have to give those 2 away?
*
my location is at malacca. if u want then i might can lend a hand to u. if u giving away, then i might take them in as well lo.

QUOTE(abang brother @ Dec 5 2008, 10:44 PM)
Guys, i got 4 male gerbils and am currently using 4feet aquarium, is it ok for me to seperate like this?
- The 4 gerbils being separated and make them live in 1.5 feet aquarium.
Coz you see, 4feet aquarium is so hard to clean and a hell loads of money used to buy beddings.
*
4 gerbils in a 4ft tank, woah, that's big. last time i keep 4 gerbils just in 2ft tank only.
2 in 1.5ft tank is ok. my current tank is 1.5ft and keep both of my yuki and kioko.

haha, just put 4 of them in a 2ft tank will do.
since they been together so long, is hard to see the separate, unless there happen to be de-clan, then you have to separate them, otherwise, is not necessary.

no la, i think most probably is because they get scared of the chicken, since the size is more bigger than them and they seldom see a chicken compare to human.

for the bedding, i use chipsi classic since last time till now, so far nothing. for the chipsi that got scent one, don't use it since it not good for gerbils.

cottonkandy, you can just put the coconut empty, and just put the bedding and hay like normal, don't need to put inside the coconut on purpose.
even when you put the bedding and hay at the base of the tank, eventually if your gerbils like the coconut, they will transfer the bedding and hay by them self into the coconut.

for hay, some of the gerbils like to chew them, some of them not, it all depends on the gerbils characteristic.
