update from me after so long time, me now only have 3 gerbils,
one pair is yuki and kioko, which is the 1st pait i get up till now,
the other one i forgot to name it, so i called it no-name... if one of the pups from the past yellow fox mother.

haha, me now jus got 3, now getting busy, so duwan keep more already...
but then after grad sure gonna keep back again... then breed somemore...

haha, i hope both my yuki and kioko will be with me till the time i grad or even more longer... coz they are really too cute already...

is gerbils, not gerbit, lol...
it some how look like hamster, but then not though...
if kind of cute, keep one for your own la...

you wan to keep a breeding pair? i suggest not to. cause gerbils is easy to breed, not say very easy, but still...
so suggest you keep in same sex pair, male male or female female.
since you are new in keeping gerbils, so is advisable to be like that.

you can go to breeding progress once you know all the gene about the gerbils, that need a lot of reading, if you don't believe, you can ask kelvin or dien about it.

just keep it in same sex pair, and not mind if i ask, where you going to get your gerbils from?
prefer you get from breeder over here, like kelvin.
cause most of the pet shop one not healthy and the gene of the gerbils is off the track already, a lot of them is inbreed one, so easy to die, easy to get sickness and all.

just read through the 1st page, all info are there, even if you want to DIY some stuff like showed there also can, cause me myself diy the water bottle cage and the wheel.

gerbils is totally different with hamster (correct me if wrong), they are not smelly at all, you can smell it, after like 2 month or 3 month then only got smell, as for mine is like that, but i change the bedding every month.
since it is sort of desert animal, it can stay without drinking for few days, gerbils do drink water, but it can 'tahan' if there is no water supply. compare to hamster, you are hamster owner, you sure know right. i have hamster as well, so compare it, woah, but too bad my hamster die of old age already. gerbils also is social kind pet, you can pet it and all and gerbils not so bitty compare to hamster, gerbils seldom bite, can be said none, unless being attack or provoke. there got lots of benefit, you read through this thread then you will know.

ya, is ok to put a pair males or a pair females. if you get both males from separate place, you need to do some introduction, cannot straight put together, will have some fight and sometimes it lead to dead. the info about introduction to gerbils already written in 1st page.

just get from breeder in this forum,like kelvin or nezumitaro and few others. the price is way different from outside. if i not mistaken, if the price not change, one pair is just about rm 40 from breeder. last time got 3 gerbils of mine bought from pet shop, each cost rm 45. some of it goes to rm 60. i not sure about kl area now.

rm 150??? do you sure that is gerbils? or you mean fat-tail gerbils?
if fat-tail gerbils then you can get it, consider cheap, cause if not i mistaken, fat-tail gerbils cost about rm 3XX.
although fat-tail gerbils is cute, but mongolian gerbils are cute as well.
i love both my yuki and kioko, which got it from hun last time.

by the way, if you happen to know who is hun, she kept damn a lot of pets.
her house is like a zoo, i never go to her house before, as what i heard, is like a zoo, got chance i sure want to go and see. she got kept about 20 kind of pet if i not mistaken.

nice video indeed. so fat your gerbils. mine eat a lot also the same thing, no change in size at all, just change in poo quantity, haha.

haha, fat-tail gerbils is nice also, not so solitary pet also, can mix with all one clan, but sometimes is hard to say for all the pets, since different pet different characteristic.

haha, mine also like that, my mom nag me like that as well, but then for me is just at my malacca rented house.
but compare to others, is just normal, for me last time just keep 3 hamsters, 9 gerbils, 2 scorpion, 2 skink, 1 crayfish, 1 tortoise, and fish tank.

haha, sometimes gerbils is like that one, mine also the same, very fit, but then the thing is they eat a lot, just wonder why they not keeping fat.

kelvin, i don't have good camera, all i have just my w810i, and also hard to take nice gerbils picture, cause they keep run here and there.
