WTA: I noticed one particular shop that keeps on/off having Preferred status. One day, it's Preferred, another day it's not.

Do sellers get to switch on or off their preferred status? Or what is happening?

I agree with this, i guess for seller, it wont be all item selling at lost, out of 10 product, maybe 2-3 is at lost to attract people to click into their shop to purchase other item as well.
This is the similar strategy use by many shop even Mr DIY as well.
Also no doubt, for smaller seller that cannot afford to establish their own traditional shop, they need to rely on e-commerce to sell their product, so shopee, lazada would be their only option.

Small orders can easily fulfill within 24 hours.

Large batch of orders, I see how you manage. Want increase manpower? Feel free, I'll see how much your cost increase because of that...

This kind of rule is usually for larger corporations such as fulfilment centers, not for small time sellers actually.

Shopee sellers must always be the last person who send message to the buyer to end the conversation. Else, the seller will be counted for late response/reply.


Buyer: Thank you.
Seller: Must reply something: You are welcome
Buyer: Send emotion SMILE
Seller: Must reply something to end the conversation

Else, seller will be marked as late response in chat

K/tard if wanna play with seller, always send emoticon to seller. The seller will be always replied you something coz they dont want to be marked as late!

New entry throw promo, pump money. Money from investors. Keep churning. All other small mid enterprise get strangled to death.

Now when no competitor they start to squeeze all they want from userbase. If business slow down. Then start another company again. Rinse repeat.

A's seller shop reply timeliness rate affected, although he is buying from B.

This is something Shopee is aware of but not doing shit about it. This creates an endless loop between the parties.

Shopee is just a platform with full of retards in the product dept.

Shopee evaluate Preferred status on weekly basis.
If a week before that seller meet all KPI, they will be granted Preferred status the following week.

The seller sent me no need to reply anything because they are seller, they need to reply. I told them, I am seller also.

Sometimes I feel that SHopee or Lazada designed too many complex programs that putar-pulih the sellers and buyers.
