Whatever so called “nearby custom” properties but not within walking distance, are just false impression to trick investors who know nothing.

Those who never suffer daily due to lack of last mile public transportation in jb, will fall into these “nearby custom” and “10min only to SG” slogan by developers.

That’s the real reason why forest city reach its current stage now. Either rent out cheap enough to attract SGD earner or be ghost town. It will never be as prosper as Shenzhen. “HK-Shenzhen” dream at jb will always be a dream only.

That was the past. Our new King will make sure JSSEZ, SFZ, RTS, HSR will be a success. Things r moving at a speed never like b4. Being a mini Shenzhen would be good enuf.
BTW Shenzhen population is 12 million with gdp of USD491 bil for 2023.

FC already has a International school, just need to set up a twinning university in Forest City to attract more students.
I think there is a plan for direct link up FC to 2nd link n HSR last terminal in MY.

MY being MY.. don't expect much. KLIA also once touted world-class.. now kat mana? Try drive around JB. The street-lamp so elaborate the design but guess what.. the lampu x nyala. That is the mentality of the people. So if you ask my honest opinion, JB will just be SG backyard playground.

I hope the Johor Bahru buses could be extended to run until 12 AM or 1 AM, like in Singapore. The last bus from JB Sentral to Skudai/Permas Jaya/Kangkar Pulai/Kulai/Masai/Kota Tinggi/Bukit indah /Johor Jaya are around 10:30 PM or 11 PM.

Shenzhen has 10 MRT lines, but Johor Bahru has no Monorail or LRT systems at all.

Shenzhen have many Big MNC.

Can we become a mini Shenzhen?

Not much of city planning for JB. High dense apartment by developer, vehicle centric without consideration for public transport, footpath also do cincai version connecting halfway, cant even walk.

If Forest City builds a bridge to the Second Link (malaysia side), it would be possible.

Malaysia would need to set up a pedestrian/bus/car/van/lorry customs counter at the connection point between Forest City and the Second Link entrance.



However, building another bridge from Forest City to Tuas Customs would be impossible because Singapore would need to approve it. The land at Tuas Customs belongs to Singapore.

There should restrict the seaside can only allow shop lot. So it wont block the view, senibong cove did very well that.

China needs 30 years to develope shenzhen. Malaysia might need 60years or even higher due to less resources

100% on this. JB will never be shenzhen if they don't fix the dam town development projects. They are making more bottleneck ... basically build and dump ..

People always think that sgrean love to spend in jb. In fact, most so called sgrean are ex-malaysians that can't look pass the exchange rate. Real sgreans and high earners hardly go malaysia. I would say at most once or twice a year.
