Why move so far away from city, spendimg more money on transport to city?

When I was based in Johor in 2012, Danga Bay was advertised as the next big thing. The mega township, waterfront, how successful it's going to be etc. Every corner you go there's ad about Danga Bay.

12 years (one full zodiac cycle) later, it's the same or maybe gotten worst.

Didnt know house next to a river is a IN thing

Because there are too many condos in the Larkin area now, WCT Bhd plans to build a mega condo project beside Bangunan Ang (Tasek Maju Developer HQ).


I can’t imagine how the traffic will be with new traffic lights and T-junctions after the condo is completed.

Currently, Larkin Road is extremely jammed from 7 AM to 10 AM and 4 PM to 7:30 PM.

Tropicana Bhd has put up so many huge and gigantic advertisement signboards there for almost 10 years, near Lot 1 Waterfront City, extending to the Danga Bay Greenland area.

Earlier this year, Onn Hafiz went with a delegation to Shenzhen to meet with 40 potential Chinese investors and the local Communist Party secretary. Johor is trying to learn from Shenzhen’s experience to recreate its success.
