But some travel mates can be toxic as hell.

Need to wake up very early like 5am, then drove somewhere jalan2 walk till evening.

Go back hotel for shower during evening and rest for 30mins then must go out again at night continue to cover as many tourist destinations as possible until midnight.

Repeat that for 5 days.

In short, they don’t think it’s that suffering and worth doing it in exchange to see more things.

Some people go climb mt kk. It’s more suffering but still people go. It may not be for you. But there’s nothing wrong for other people who don’t share the same interest as you.

Go holiday to enjoy of course.
But can’t avoid some suffering along the way. Have to work harder to get money. Have to research what to do during holiday. Have to endure long flights. May have to wake up early to catch a flight. So do you still go holiday?

thats why like many said ed, its best you set expectations in advance

i went for a trip with 2 other friends last time, i told them way in advance if you not gonna follow my schedule and walking pattern (since i tend to do alot of wandering) they are free to not follow me and go their own ways. as long we just sync up later if want meetup for lunch/dinner or something

Omg.... That's the schedule of my wife and her mom when I followed them to Japan

Die die must squeeze every single hour with activities. Suffocating
*
Because only xx days in Japan, don't want to waste the days

And likely planned too much region, like Kansai Airport In, Kyoto first stay, Osaka 2nd stay, Tokyo out via shinkansen.

Every 2 or 3 nights change hotel

When a region only 2 or 3 nights, naturally will want to squeeze out every droplet of it. Want to chill in cafe also kena Lai lai fast fast time to get moving.

Notwithstanding the connectivity in Osaka is so good, that can go Kobe, Uji, Nara, Fushimi ward kind of place...

Why stop at 50k steps a day? I always do 200 km runs in 3 days whenever I'm on holiday to ensure that I'm in tip top shape. Follow this up with a light 90 km cycling session to cool myself down and relax

might as well say everyday complete ironman triathlon

that's too much. When I travel in Japan, can walk over 20k a day no problem for 7 days. Weather also plays a big part. Cool weather less fatique.

yea... thats my most optimistic calculation. laugh.gif definitely more than that.

if look at most of the post here, average is about 20-30k steps per day.

Usually take around 1.5hour to walk 10k step casually.

50k mean during the whole day, you will be walking 7.5 hour at least.

You are exercising or holiday?
