Nothing surprise, I upgraded from 15 Pro Max to 16 Pro Max too.

Dunno how the tariffs will go until next iPhone release

Supposedly the 17 series should be in production now and left half year to go.

Those production cost (i give it like 50~60% completion) should have already calculated in which is prior to Madman's new Tariff
* Not to mention some parts probably are from leftover/ old model XD

So, they cant just suddenly hike the price due to this tariff, hmm
But Apple's decision, we can't do anything..

For me i believe there would be a domino effect even though on tariff's definition it wouldnt affect us directly (on purchasing an iphone that is)

That’s the problem, if they move or don’t move, the price is still gonna increase due to tariff. Realistically speaking, it’s not possible to build factories overnight.
1) If factories in overseas - consumers pay for the tariff
2) If factories in the USA - consumers pay for the price difference due to materials are still subject to tariff, US doesn’t have everything originally from their country.

The only way to counter this issue is that orange man revokes everything and everything is back to normal. However, price may still increase a little bit even after everything is revoked due to recession, some companies may have started implementing tariff etc.

Apple won't make the pricing inconsistent one worldwide

Sure will standardized everything and make sure profit margin stays about same level XD

Actually trump want those factory move out from china only , not necessary back to USA but as long as ur factory is outside from china because they want to weaken china economy

He charge tariff for whole world at first because it make USA LOOK ALIKE not only againts to china but to be fair to whole world

Then china is the only country reply to USA and charge the same tariff that US charge to china while other country just senyap2 and request for meeting , so now USA have the chance to use the reason not to charge other country and tarik balik because other country doesnt make any reply , only CHINA reply 😂 , trump really betul2 clown.....

so the conclusion , he only mou raise china tariff , but he can't directly pointed to china, then make a big drama , really drama king , soon all the iphone will manufacture in india and ship out to world wide , so no worry for the tariff and the price stil the same IMO.

10% is just peanut , and u really believe trump will really charge on those country with such high tariff after 90 day and make US citizen suffering because have to purchase expensive item? Trump only want to force those factory move out from china , then rebuild on other country ,so u can skip the 125% tariff 😉

From the iphone 15 era , u can see apple start to give iphone huge discount to compete and gain back the market that effected by china phone market , its even crazy on iphone 16 pro max , do u think iphone 17 will raise alot? Maybe will raise on retail price , but once cant hit their expectation pre-order target , after 2 week , like the iphone 16 , give discount 😂

With the new tariff rate i dont think iphone can be sell well anymore in china , iphone sales already drop from 24% to 15.7% up to date even with the old tariff rate in china , if they still raising the price to global , and the china/samsung phone stil remain the price , iphone will be lost their market even worse.

So in my opinion , Apple will remain their price on iphone 17 to compete with the market just like how Tesla reduce their price to compete with other brand EV car , Apple still have very huge margin la even selling at that price seriously.

Yes in china started on 12.12 sales for the iphone 15 due to their sales drop badly , after this my friend bought from switch get rm500 discount for iphone 15pro max retail at rm6499 to rm5999 , then lazada shopee started with even more cheaper price , and this is the first ever iphone u can purchase with discount price and never happen in previous iphone

With previous iphone , launching date til the end of cycle , the price is rm6499 even after 11 month, until the new iphone model came out , only old model get discounted

Did you realize those are Apple-authorized dealers and not from the Apple site?
Apple official doesn't give discounts.

Apple give authorized seller discount even more to let them can give further discount to customer, u thought reseller profit rm500 1 iphone? They earn peanut (3-5%) for 1 phone only 😂 Only apple give reseller discounted price and the reseller can give to customer 😂
