I’m trying to resist the temptation of iPhone 16 Pro Max. I think I can do it.

QUOTE(soitsuagain @ Aug 30 2024, 08:59 PM) Nice. I am still using the 12Pro. The battery health stays at 85% since Dec 2021 and is now at 815 cycles. Didn’t know it can go well over 500 cycles. I’m using 15 Pro Max now but most of my activities are still on 12 Pro Max, already changed a battery back in Sept 2022. Now only 82% battery health after two years. |

Anybody gonna upgrade from iPhone 15 Pro/Max? It doesn't entice me to buy one; I will skip it this round.

QUOTE(Ydontukickme @ Sep 10 2024, 02:39 PM) Hi anyone got the pricing of Iphone 16 for telco? Normally is it more worth to buy with telco plan (considering the phone bill and rebate etc) If your bill is not high or paid by company etc, then it is better not to take any bundled plan. Based on the 15 series throwing price war experience, it is much cheaper than RRP. Not worth to get any telco plan. |

QUOTE(soitsuagain @ Sep 10 2024, 08:26 PM) I have used wireless powerbank before but after using a magsafe powerbank I seriously can’t go back to wired powerbank anymore….. only problem with magsafe is when we are using it the battery never goes up I also only use MagSafe powerbank but my phone has enough battery so I hardly use it. Oh it never goes up? Why didn’t I notice this? |

QUOTE(soitsuagain @ Sep 10 2024, 09:57 PM) Hmmm mine is ugreen. I am not using a magsafe casing but I have tested with and without casing and there is no difference on the charging. With the casing the magnet is still strong. Holding one of each vertically could support the others weight. It could only goes up when I did not use it while charging. Next time I see mine but I think it charges while I use. Mine is a Baseus. QUOTE(decavalera @ Sep 10 2024, 10:59 PM) Agree. Once start to go wireless, you cant go back. Bought 2 Baseus (as it get 1 of the top review) magsafe charger last yr. Me & my wife really luv it. Yes, mine is also a Baseus. I bought it some time back and love its convenience. So need to get a new higher power watt that able to pump 25W to the new iphone |

QUOTE(attw @ Sep 11 2024, 08:35 AM) Haha, have not used one of those since iPhone 6 Plus. Haha, in fact, that's kinda like my requirement for new phones now - even Android ones: That I won't need to have a power bank Yeah, I only have a power bank as a spare, but I hardly get to use it, to be honest. |

Though I'm using Digi eSIM and it requires me to go to Digi Centre to get it transferred to a new device, I still find eSIM is quite convenient after using it for 4 years now. I have two active lines so one of them must be an eSIM, so far not too bad.

QUOTE(loonsave @ Sep 12 2024, 12:37 PM) I thought eSim implementation should let end user to register and change the sim on another phone easier without removing Sim card. Is it only MY with weird implementation that need to go to store to request new eSim every time, or its a worldwide thing? Not all telcos have, I think Malaysia only Maxis? |

QUOTE(loonsave @ Sep 12 2024, 12:45 PM) Wasn’t sure they improve it from my last experience 2 years ago. I requested to change to eSim at Maxis The Garden, then they told me ran out of eSim. Nowadays no need to go to Maxis Centre to get eSIM transferred.eSim should be reusable when transfer to another phone by scanning the existing QR? Or need to request a new QR if want to register it on another phone? New QR, at least this is what Digi told me. |

Congrats guys. I was having a nap when the PO started and God bless me, hope I can resist the temptation.
My mom was saying I could pass her my old 12PM which I’m using as a secondary phone now if I intend to upgrade my primary phone - 15PM. I feel bad pulak, if I were to give it to her I would give her the 15PM instead. Let me see how. This post has been edited by fruitie: Sep 14 2024, 01:17 AM |

QUOTE(NagaK @ Sep 14 2024, 01:22 AM) Anyone like me waiting for demo on physical store before purchasing it since they increase the size will go store first and see which is ergonomic friendly too use. Buy telco set only if your monthly bill is high or paid by company, otherwise it’s not worth to bundle with telco plan anymore. It’s cheaper to buy it outright if you can wait for a while considering the 15 series prices were like waterfalls earlier, I believe the 16 series will have the same fate too. I was also the day 1 purchaser all this while but I don’t think I will repeat this time if I were to upgrade my current iPhone to the 16PM. I have both Maxis and Digi which telco had better deal to let some suggestions Telco units will also tie you with a contract. This post has been edited by fruitie: Sep 14 2024, 01:34 AM |
