Iphone battery would last long, by the time need to be replace with a new one, lets see if it's worth to change a battery or trade in and get a new one 😉

OK, this justifies to trade-in and upgrade to a newer iPhone model.

Third party iphone repair service quoted rm248 for ip15 pro max battery and claimed it's genuine battery, cheaper bangi fb page, they got 16 branches

But if you asked me, i would rather send to machines service centre as rest assured done by professional technician plus genuine parts

yes, really... considered that sometimes we see a lot of only buy the pro max model at rm4xxx or 5xxx at most during the sales.

yes, better stick to apple official battery replacement service.
ideally go to apple trx to replace - even better peace of mind, since price is the same as resellers like machines etc...

I like it a lot and knowing the thief can't sell the parts of my stolen iPhone 12 Pro Max. I need to remove the activation lock but I won't.

Remove Activation Lock with Find Devices
If the original device was set to Lost Mode, you need to turn off Lost Mode before you can complete part configuration. If you were signed in to that device, you can remove Activation Lock with Find Devices:

Go to Find Devices.

Sign in to your Apple Account.

Select the iPhone or iPad that contained the part that you want to install in a new device.

Choose Remove This Device.

If the device is in Lost Mode:

Click Lost Mode.

Click Stop Lost Mode.

Click Stop Lost Mode again when you're asked to confirm.

After following the steps, it'll take a few minutes for Activation Lock to be removed.

Sometime the resellers offer discount on battery replacement for iPhone. I'll wait for those. Can get up to RM 100 cheaper sometimes.

I got a free ip15pm which was pretty banged up. While it worked, owner had changed the screen, but after a few days, the battery started swelling. Managed to find battery from CN on Lazada.

RM93 after Laz voucher. The RM67 one was probably wrongly priced since they didn't fulfill the order.

Btw, few years back my mom ip6 plus done a battery replacement, not genuine battery, but until now seems fine, hoping it will last until her birthday this september, might get her brand new iphone

Yeah, so far so good. I've changed the batteries myself for 5s, 6plus, 6s & X. The old models don't complain about the 3rd party batteries. I think only from iPhone 12 onwards that IOS will complain.

Yerp, iphone that able to update to ios18 will be the one required genuine stuff 🙂

Nowadays , people getting scare to replace battery at the 3rd party shop is because there is too much unreliable shop out there , some shop offer super super cheap price and claim it's OEM quality but at the end it just a peace of shit quality battery. But if u get a little bit expensive price with a REAL OEM quality , you stil can continue enjoy the phone for the next 2-3 year without problem... but stil encourage to change at the Official Store unless the phone already 4-5 year and just plan to use for 2nd phone.

Its hardly to find a reliable phone repair shop nowadays.


what i saw in china video clip , some of them can actually by pass it , not sure it will bring the problem in future , but they did it

china always one step further in every angle , they got such a way to make it happen .. but in my personal point of view , i'll go for genuine stuff plus send it to the official service centre as the phone itself ain't that cheap, one of the most expensive smartphones i've owned so far but i must say it's worth for the money

even they managed to bypass it , i won't take any risk

They can make the "Unknown Part" become "Original Part" then continue upgrade to iOS 18 , that crazy , i believe malaysia repair shop will have this kind of service once they master.

Normally price of official exchange will drop down for those authorised shop such as Switch, Machine on older model.

Sometime will have promo also after 3 years time gap.

I'm waiting for iphone 14 series promo to consider of changing my 86% iphone 14 pro BH next.
