Guys if I bought my phone from urban republic 2 weeks ago and now I want to claim a swap or something where is it best to do? Switch repair center or back to the same branch?

I’m in Penang island.

My problem is the camera sensor blue false readings. Basically at full dark 30s the captured photo has many many blue dots and blue spots. This is actually widely reported already but perhaps not a big issue for many.

I do some astrophotography and 30s exposure is normal for me. It ruins the picture.

What happens now? I walk in to the repair center ? They will replace or I need to come back again? Will I be without phone for the duration of them making the claim?

Went to trx Apple and met with an idiot sales. He told me advanced fusion camera produces blue spots. So he happen to own a 15 pro, which he also obligingly took a 30s exposure without any blue spots.

Next I ask him to use a normal iPhone 16 and viola no blue spots. Next a demo unit also cocked up for 16 pro. He say I have no way to claim this because another 16 pro will also be affected.

Stupid sales people are everywhere I guess. Now I’m dilemma like hell. Do I drop my phone at the service center and have no phone to use while they attempt to change my sensor? Or do I buy care+ and directly swap it ?

I do agree that RM899+variable cost is very expensive for a RM5000 device for only 2 years, but it is designed to give Apple profit and give you what you think you want....I don't really know how to judge that also tbh.

Your test was not really done correctly. You need to completely shield the whole camera from noise. Example hide it in a drawer, cover it with blankets or in a dark room inside a building with no windows.

I have dreams and plans to do milky way photography and also northern lights. If you’ve been to these scenes you will know it’s dark until your eyes cannot actually see the stars and the milky way. Same as you cannot really see the aurora, need extreme long exposure time on camera. Both will be ruined had I relied solely on the 16 pro. 😡

More or less yours is perfect. All phones have hot pixels but that’s what we call as acceptable range. Mine is just hot all over. Shayne Mostyn on YouTube is making a lot of coverage on this.

Can you accept if yours is like mine and Apple (the biggest tech company, biggest company in the world) cannot reproduce your problem after 3 days.
