the window is kinda long and i open it always..so sunlight will come thru and even air ventilation is ok..my room got limited wire and i can fence them..

if its not good, is it ok if i keep it in da house for like 8 months and then oni keep em in my porch?

im thinkin to get a labrador instead of GR..its the same except for the coating only right ?

As far as I know labs and GRs are similar in temperament, although I hear labs tend to be greedier with food. As long as your dog is well exercised and gets enough attention from you I suppose keeping him in a well ventilated and sunny room isn't too bad - especially if you let him wander around the house when there are people around to supervise. One concern you might want to think about is if he's cooped up indoors most of the time, will he be well adjusted in terms of how he reacts to novel things - i.e. thunder, rain, other dogs/animals, traffic and so on? Make sure to expose him regularly to new things so he doesn't easily get frightened/overexcited.

Yup bringing her out would be good, let her get used to the sights and sounds outside. But don't bring her out until she's finished all her vaccs to be safe, some dogs are unlucky and can still kena parvo etc. even after 1-2 vaccs.

So cute and plump wub.gif Don't overfeed her, if she's anything like my retriever you give 1 sack of food oso will finish the whole sack lol. If you overfeed the excess weight might strain the hip joints. Like another person has mentioned your play pen is too small, need to expand it to have enough space so she can move comfortably. If she picks up toilet training quickly you might not even need the pen for long smile.gif

If you want to let them out when they're whining, only do so a while AFTER the whining stops. Otherwise, they will think that whining will get what they want.

FYI, I kept my GR in my room since day one I got him until he was 5 months old. The result of that is..... LOTS of shedding meaning fur EVERYWHERE, floor, table, keyboard, many furballs. I whack my curtain and I will see fur flying everywhere like snow. Then there's the smell, he was trained to pee on a tray laid with pee pads which I change daily.

I have a very spacious room, I didn't plan to keep him in my room forever so now he's in my car porch. I can tell you its a helluva huge relief. My room is so much cleaner without a furball GR. I don't have to worry about the pee accidents that he sometimes have which requires some serious hectic cleaning.

So there you have it, if you can tolerate with all that. Keep your GR in your room! biggrin.gif
