5G SA or “True 5G” runs on a brand-new network brain called 5GC. This 5GC powers both data and phone calls entirely using 5G. It also fully utilises all the 5G spectrum bands, including the crucial 700MHz band, enabling wider coverage and superior stability.

5G Advanced builds on 5G SA as the next evolution of 5G.

5G Advanced offers several improvements over today’s 5G, including:
Stronger indoor penetration, broader outdoor coverage

So DNB 5G 700mhz SA already turn ON ?

Yes, i checked at their website, it is SA, i talk to their CS over WhatsApp, they confirmed is N28+N78! Hurray! But when i asked what is the bandwidth, they will get back to me, just wait for their good news man!

Bandwidth for DNB 5G is 20MHz X2 (700MHz N28) and 100MHz (3.5GHz N78). The N78 from DNB will soon have 200MHz contiguous bandwidth (100MHz + 100MHz).

The same 700MHz band (LTE B28) is also used for 5G NSA, as anchor band to N78 (DSS with 5G SA).

i think is "2×30MHz (60Mhz) spectrum blocks in the 700MHz band and 100MHz in 3.5GHz were allocated for the DNB 5G network"
Source is from here-> https://www.malaysianwireless.com/2022/03/e...guaranteed-mno/
the 200Mhz is correct based on latest annoucement this month. the 100Mhz for N78 was 2022 news.

They only have 2x20MHz for B28 700MHz

Wonder will them enable N78C like what China Telecom and Unicom do

B28 is 20Mhz bw for sure, I think the 30Mhz bw is refering to N28 biggrin.gif

if it is 100M + 100M bw, definately is N78 + N78

N78 coverage sucks man!

even with 200Mhz, it is still useless man

look at the RSRP! rclxub.gif

This your location problem. To be frank, we have no other lower frequency spectrum available to provide such large bandwidth. DNB should be responsible to build a site closer to you

Not to say that DNB 5G sites density is still not enough in a lot of areas. Even my taman has way more CDB 4G sites than DNB 5G sites. This has not even counted 4G sites from other telco like Maxis or U Mobile

A lot of those older AAUs deployed by DNB could not work with 32TR 200MHz mode, it is either 32TR 100MHz or 16TR 200MHz. So don't expect to get double of the speed even if the additional spectrum is deployed. Unless they install an additional AAU or swap out the old one

No, DNB uses DSS for B28 and N28 both of them sharing same 20MHz iinm

But that's exclusive for Business users right? With extra add on

Yes. At the moment. On the business SIM CARD, it's written 5G-SA.
