some made from 3Ds MAX, some from MAYA, and some from LightWave.......
Mine r created by Blender 3D (a freeware).....
Now, people mostly used 3Ds MAX, MAYA is also widely used too (depends on where u work with)

hope this help u & have a nice day!!!

weee tanks roll in desert. not completed though. hom.

i did this a few years ago and didnt have time to finish it and now i stil cant seem to finish it coz of the frustration of my PCs power and also newer projects. Which also lags like crap on this pc.

How do i improve viewport performance? I tried hiding all lights and heavy meshes but still i get lag. Frustrating

if anyone looking for cinematographer i can say that I am suitable for the job. biggrin.gif

yo bro.. i'm kinda impressd with your 3d short clip.. the tanks..

i just dun feel the green is the good green.. too striking for the enemy to spot..

btw.. wonder how long it takes to render.. eventho halfly photorealistic..

im not good with colors. coz im color blind. so i had no idea what color my tanks were. i thought they were a mixture of light brown or light yellow or orangey or something. that shot was pretty quick to render since there were very few lights and reflections to worry about.

the one im currently rendering on my pc uses Dreamscape to render clouds and skies and each frame takes 1 minute and 48 seconds to render. Times that by 700 frames. Aaaargh.

This scene which originally can be found at 3dmax tutorial
the things i changed was the style of rendering and some materials.

still got many room for improve
it rendered in 32min in 1024x780 resolution
not happy with it, i think can lower it to 15-20min

OT:arggg... tomoro math T paper 2 for stpm rclxub.gif icon_question.gif
wish me luck ...

boomer86, what renderer did you use? Vray? or Brazil R/S or Mental Ray?

Some comments, the floor mat looks floating. Overall looks good.

any other views? modelling looks clean on the front. Nice control on the edge. box modelling or curve? By looking at the grille you made, i assume you use 3ds max? cool.gif good job btw. Nice car paint shader too.
