[quote=sinan3d,Dec 20 2006, 03:48 PM] wow LOSD, really nice interior renders u got there.. i really envy this vray thinggy.. cant wait to get my hands on it but.. hehe.. still dont have the semangat for now..
thanks.. yeah vray rocks!!! u shud try it surely u wont regret it man...really cool plugin.. i hav try final render, mental ray but not suit me well but BooMer86 do it very2 well ... n maxwell take a very2 long time & i dont like the lembab-lembab rendering plugin u try first then ur semangat will come l8r laaa nice neo modelling frm u
can you explain to me what is HDRI?...me noob la...heh
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDRI its high dynamic range imaging.. hard to explain if u noe nothing bout it bt actually its not that hard to use it.. i get it free from ahem2 forum
A simple particle test I did after a long hiatus from 3d stuff for half a year (pergi bertapa n___n)...Done using Maya 8 - Particle Instancer and Particle Expression...for my FYP Short Animation's background element...
losd hehee.. yeah.. with max8, what vray version are you using?
aeemmm nice particles there.. looks like falling leaves ey?
hmmm.. hdri.. how to story.. i oso tak reti sangat.. one thing is that its used to get realistic renderings.. especially on the reflections of objects. here is a tutorial using brazil renderer "brazil hdri tutorial"
i oso tak reti sgt tau.. so guysz, if im wrong, please correct me, some people refer IBL(image based lighting) as hdri images.. this means that the 3d file has no lights in the scene and the hdri image is used as the lighting source.. thats why a hdri file is big in size(MB) and the way to create that kind of image is also special.. people use hdri probe ( kinda like metal yg bulat )
adoi! sorry if my explanation isgt understandable.. hehee.. explanation from a noob
vray 1.47... i heard 1.5 already out n come with other addition like vray sun n watever2 but so sad dont hav money 2 buy one... can download RC one but its illegal since i use it at my office...

shinasuka:ooo...shiny...too reflective on the large areas...hdri looks even better if you have more small details...it'll give nice highlights on bevels...try it...
rerendered, lowered the reflectivity until very low lol
I got one suggestion for u. But donno u wan o not la..hehe can u render it in skylight n final gather without any material apply?(grey version) i wan to see the detail ur model and try to put the view from down thr, and look up to it's face, i think this will make the robot look huge
