need see how big is the mall first, malls nowadays need to be big enough to attract better tenants and doesnt end up like those neighbourhood malls, developers should stop building more neighborhood malls, they need to understand that most people wont go to neighborhood malls during weekends

Lalaport beg to differ. Big and not doing well.

The Curve and Tropicana Gardens seems much better than Atria and 3 Damansara.

In terms of Damansara Area,

One U> Paradigm> Tropicana Gardens > Pavi Damansara> Starling>  Ikea> Curve> Megahrise> Atria > Citta Mall> 3 Damansara > Jaya Shopping Center> Evolve> Glo.

You need to find a niche to survive in the current market.

Atria has quite a big event space for expos and apple sales.

Starling are doing what the original Tropicana City Mall and the old Atria did, a smaller scale shopping center for those that don't want to go to big malls like One U, MV and Paradigm nearby.

3 Damansara are opening a large rock climbing space.

Glo got Worq and MRT but that's not helping much.

Tropicana gardens cannot be so top. The whole place still very empty.

You missed out The strand mall, Giza mall and Nexis mall. Not to mentioned Lotus Damansara, NSK KD and Giant KD. Further down got Emporis also. Bandar Utama got Centerpoint too.

SEE Hoy Chan Holdings Sdn Bhd (SHCH) is mulling plans to inject its retail assets into a real estate investment trust (REIT) that will be listed on Bursa Malaysia, according to sources. “Several investment banks have been approached for the corporate exercise,” one of them tells The Edge.

The assets, with a potential value of more than RM3 billion, are said to include 1 Utama Shopping Centre and Centrepoint in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, all of which are parked under First Nationwide Group Sdn Bhd. The group also owns One World Hotel and First City University College, according to its website.

Source: 1 Utama, Centrepoint among assets ripe for REIT listing, say sources

Paramount and Sunway best in managing malls and strong marketing team, extremely careful with tenants...

Unlike other shitty mall management...who ever can pay rent will get a spot....

Paramount is...?

I simply hate 1U just because of the stupid parking lots

other than that ,ok lah. but I rather go to pyramid
*
pyramid is damn far for KL ppl, MV is still the best

cheap parking and got a lot of shops

but it's also so fucking crowded

no matter what mall open, 1u and MV can never die

for how many decades d

I’m the reverse, I hate pyramid parking.
For 1u I always park B2 new wing. No need to fight and orbit.

1U is a cash cow. No need do listing. Just keep as Sdn Bhd, quietly collect tonnes of cash can already.
