damn, I got a few important things to ask and wlm screws me over.

anyway to make my post less OT ()... last movie watched was... American Gangster I think. a fine movie but we've seen it all before. still well done nonetheless. I actually had to go thru 3 separate sessions to finish this movie. busy as hell.

Man On Fire. Was good from the start but it went downhill midway and a poorly written ending summed up an average flick.

White Noise is good, quite scary
But White Noise 2 is purely crap

1)Lock, Stock And 2 Smoking Barrels.
2)Snatch.

Watch LSA2SB and rush back to the DVD shop at 1a.m. to get the follow up Snatch and like both very much.

British sure know Humour better than American.

3)Adaption
I think it's damn great and even a tad bit better than Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind and Being John Malkovich. I mean, it is on the same level with these great movies without a brain portal material, it's just pure script writing.
Chris Cooper is so so so versatile that I couldnt recognize him in every movie until he speaks.

I thought it was a pretty decent action movie. Its a Tony Scott film, so what do you expect?

Only when it works, when it doesnt, its terribly dull.

I thought Lock, Stock And 2 Smoking Barrels was boring. I just don't understand Richie's brain

Thanks I've been spare from those.
I didn't watch enough English film at the first place.
But so far most that I watch Trainspotting, Hot Fuzz, Shawn of the Dead, This is England, Cash Back etc are all very well made films to my liking.
Even some france movies that I only understand by reading subtitles.
But just that their humor are just so natural that need no jim carey face to pull off and it cames so naturally like life itself that need no attempt.


Well. I think it was brilliant and literary not a single second I felt boring.
It's original, sophisticated, witty, lively and I can sit there whole day listening to the British cockney slang and funny conversation.
I think it's a very well combination of story, music, camera works, editing, acting and directing, especially in snatch. Although snatch has no originality to speak off as it is basically a remake a LSA2SB with a bigger budget and some tuning to please the American dudes.
Just never thought a gangster flick could be made this way, an eye opener.

I'd say I have a common taste, common good taste maybe. (what is that really?)
What I like most are graded highly by most people.

But yeah, i will try these two.
It's a shame I totally missed them all these years.

- Superbad

Citizen Kane, accompanied with commentary from Roger Ebert. Totally awesome experience, that guy really knows his stuff.

Make sure you watch his commentary on Casablanca as well

I have his commentary of Casablanca but haven't really got the time to run thru it. Will do soon. I'm amazed by Ebert.

27 dresses

predictable cliche, girl with problem + guy with problem -> argue -> fall in love -> girl with problem finds out she got conned -> fight -> blab labla -> romantic happy finale.

some comical parts but nothing exciting and new really, something to bring your gf too

As always, American dont understand asian ghost 3/10. They better in monster and godzilla. watch original thailand version for best movie.

any one watch AWAKE? actually want to watch that but no seat..so end up watching Shuttle
