QUOTE(shoguniphicus @ Oct 30 2007, 01:26 PM) ow my bad, i didnt really read the poster's post correectly. Yea you are right. with installment that add on about 3%, it will end up 8000+. i am just so so sorry. Because i read the previous and previous posters, they only mention macbook and macbook and kinda messed up with other posts. i got mine at 8000+ too. The Rm7499 is for promotion when the second generation mbp about to come out. now the standard price would be 7799. i supposed. Boo No harm though, RM7799 is still a pretty neat price to pay. With this Toshiba I'm using is already nearly 5 years, with an MBP, I expect at least 6 without problems (hopefully). So that'll be like RM3.50 a day

I wonder if Apple Malaysia will reprice the new upcoming Macs now that the USD-RM exchange rate is lower.... you could be saving less than RM3.50 per day

Er.. what 'fun' is there in having to wait 6 YEARS?! *grins* Now is Now !!! *starts saving for Leopard* [thank God it's not in the 4 figure mark otherwise it'll just be a longer wait! *sigh*] Like i said, what's the fun in having to wait?! Ah well, too bad Unc Lim didn't include me in his will

Or maybe I should ask a friend who studies in the US to help me buy or something? It's cheaper by nearly a thousand bucks. But will the warranty work in Malaysia or Aust?

@Peanutz, As long as it's 'mobile', International Warranty applies [and iMacs are NOT considered mobile! - it's carry-able BUT it's definitely NOT mobile! And I think it applies to MacMini too *shrugs* - just check the warranty label to be 100% sure]. All I can say is that it's quite safe if you're looking at the iPods, MBs or MBPs. Oh, and well, perhaps original softwares too? *grins* @shoguniphicus, RM3.50 p/day doesn't seem too bad at all! Ok, I'm gonna start... can someone tell me how many years before I can afford that 6 series..? Come to think of it, I'm owing my Apple store $ *oopS*

tinkerbel: Yeah that's what I was thinking too But I better double check with Apple just to make sure kokyun: Oh..my..god..if that is true, it's only 12 days away! *crosses fingers, toes, every strand of hair on my head and everything that is crossable* This post has been edited by Peanutz: Nov 1 2007, 02:04 PM

Macbook & Macbook Pro updated.
A very minimal update, macbook pro has now got the option to get a 2.6ghz processor but you still have to pay more.
Think updates on the Macbook are much more significant though but I couldn't care less.

Hmm..somehow I still am sceptical that this upgrade for the MBP isn't the real thing yet..more of like, an "appetizer" if you know what I mean

Or only a few ppl. Ntg to upgrade for MBP. Why? It already equipped with latest hardware component. Mobile Penryn should be somewhere Feb/Mar 2008.

Can't wait that long :\ My Toshiba is dying soon, I might as well take this opportunity and get myself an MBP. I'll most probably get it in PIKOM's PC Fair this coming Dec and see what they can throw in together. Maybe a nano? Haha wishful thinking here..

isn't there is rumour bout a newly-designed mac book pro? too bad if u buy too early and miss it...
if pikom pc fair this dec, and apple is selling cheap with lots of freebies, then u shud expect something new from apple a few weeks after.

It's people's comments like these makes me wanna wait longer I've decided la, normally anything that is newly design have flaws and would take lots of trips to Apple store to fix it. So I decided to actually buy the current MBP regardless of the new design
