The foam inside the machine will degrade and breakdown into small pieces. You changed new one for Philips recall? Buy resmed next time

Done sleep test about 6 7 years ago then went on CPAP. Life changing. Before was like u, sleep 1 2 hours wake up go toilet, sore throat, drink water, repeat. Everytime lunch or after work drive, totally like dreaming. Don't even know how I got home. Yeah very very dangerous. 1 time microsleep scratch the side of my car, that's my trigger point like i need to fix this shit.

Sleep test that time cost me like rm100-200 only. It's a device roughly size of powerbank, strapped across your chest then some tubes to your nose. Just wear it and sleep 1 whole night, next morning give back the device and they can tell u have sleep apnea or not. I forget the reading was in what unit but basically normal people the number should be less than 5. I think something like less than 5 times breathing interruption or something la. My value is 80+ lmao. Freaking hardcore. Basically my organs don't ever "sleep".

After using CPAP phew, 6 7 years now. I think I woke up middle of the sleep less than 10 times? in 6 years yes. Always 99% is sleep until alarm wake up. Wonderful. Don't even have dreams. Strongly suggest u check it out.

Is it comfortable wearing the cpap devices? I mean, looks like it limit your movement while sleeping with the device.

Not really, you don't do aerobic exercise when you sleep lmao.

Just a matter of getting used to the pressure, 1-2 weeks you'll be ok. After that, without machine cannot even sleep

For sure not used to it at first as u're like wearing a mask, just get used to it after 1 week or so, not that bad ... you have to wear it anyway. Sleep apnea is no joke ... uncomfortable coz suddenly like got air going into your nose ... nothing to do with movements... I was told by ppl that slept with me before saying I move alot last time ... but after CPAP i don't think i move as much coz I'm getting quality sleep now ...

go to hospital ent said you probably have sleep apnea. if your partner, roommate or housemate said you snoring alot, tell them those.
later the doctor will order a sleep test for diagnosis.

Snoring is not apnea. Apnea is when u stop breathing for a period of time.

I also have been using dreamstation because it is the quietest among the cpap machines. The issue was the foam that was used to dampened the sound. It would react to some ppl using O³ gas as a disinfection method. This causes the foam to release carcinogens. Philip had a worldwide product recall to replace the foam and motor FOC. Go back to your seller to get this. I did mine 2021.
Using CPAP, I didnt have any more awakening from apnea. My AHI was borderline 28. But subjectively I felt much better.

Hi Guys,

Wondering if any of you been to a sleep study/test before? I am having sleeping problems where I could not sleep properly, max 2-3 hours and then I will wake up dunno for god how many years. And for the past 1 month, I have this issue where my snoring keep waking me up because of feeling discomfort at my throat, but not until gasping for air. I am thinking I might have sleep apnea.
Any of you guys knows what is the procedure of checking this?

Thanks.

Sleep is important, when we grow older, our sleeping time is reduced but 2-3 hours is too less.

there could be multiple reasons why you cannot sleep well:

1. Unseen: probably you are having stress in work/life.
2. Physical: mattress/bedroom/sleeping style/aircond/environment not comfy.
3. External: too much coffee/tea/alcohol, or facebook screentime too much.
