Colon stage 3

Stomach pain, blood in stool

Done operation removed colon(no need stoma bag), then chemo 6 cycle but discontinue after 1st cycle (side effect to strong)

That was 4 years ago. Soon going for my 3rd or 4th colonoscopy. Do know how many times the doctor poke my bughole sweat.gif shakehead.gif

Stop any operation/chemo. The reason is your eating habit. There are testimonies from patient experiencing colon cancer but recovered without going for any op/chemo

Sugar, or glucose in general has no evidence of causing or affecting cancer. Yes cancer cells use more glucose than normal cells, that's how PET-CT scan is done, keto or low sugar/carb diet for few days then inject contrast with glucose to see where the scan light up in body. But the reason is not because of glucose, is that cancer cells use more energy or use more glucose than normal cells. You cannot starve cancer cells, unless at the same time you starve your whole body.

I was talking to a UMMC lecturer, he described this experiment before where they took cancer cells and burnt all the surrounding glucose receptors with laser or something. No point, still survived.

If so easy cut sugar can cure cancer, doctors will prescribe all cancer patient with keto diet for 3 months then can cure already. Sadly doesn't work like that.

I'm not TS but.. If you reach certain age (40s) and have history of cancers in family, better to have a medical screening plus cancer detection test.

If possible to do it every year. That what my doctor suggested me.

Better early detection; than knowing when already worse, that's too late.

Actually TS, what age are you? Understand you're before warga emas. Think this will help create awareness. Colon cancer is indeed a silent killer. Younger people are getting it these days.

Cancer started 40++

Mine under sigmoid colon. Near to rectum, so the blood is red. If u bleeding way upper inside, the blood will mix with your stool and turn black. U cant see with the naked eye. That's why your doc will ask wat colour of your stool. If not mistaken last time under 50 go for check up, then down to 40. Now i heard 35years old. If u worried, u can get the test kit from KK, bring it home, scoop your own choc kek and past it KK for testing.

I don't think insurance covers for colonoscopy if you don't have any issue....
it cost like 2K rm, depending on whether there is promo going on... just did mine last year.

it is cheap.... cos in private hospital, just the colonoscopy itself is like 2K rm.

btw, how long did you have to wait for the surgery appointment after the specialist confirmed that you had colon cancer?

Thank you for sharing TS.
This create awareness among us.
I will ask KK about Kolorektal screening during my next visit.
Done colonoscopy before retiring 2 years back in private hospital.
Now already retired, can't afford private need to go government facility.
Hopefully not painful process in government facility.
In private hospital, you will be put to sleep for the colonoscopy.

Dont know how to describe the pain, it's painful . Didnt pay much attention on stomach pain in the beginning but the bleeding that worries me. Constipation i not so sure b'cos my bowl movement sometime after 2 to 3 days, even now also the same. But sometimes daily. Everyone different . Fibre intake before the cancer = low. Dont drink dont smoke.

If your stomach often pain, better go for check up. Not just stomach pain or bleeding, sometimes if your poopoo like pencil shape also no good. something is blocking. Always check your stool shape. Tail tail sign is there how healthy is your colon/gut . Learn it from youtube tons of good info

Apricot seed is cyanide. Please don't take.

Singapore Food Agency (SFA)
https://www.sfa.gov.sg/food-information/ris...apricot-kernels

QUOTE
Why is it not safe to eat raw apricot kernels?

Apricot kernels contain significant amounts of amygdalin – a substance that becomes toxic after being consumed.

When eaten, amygdalin breaks down to release a poisonous chemical called cyanide. Cyanide poisoning can cause headaches, nausea, vomiting, lethargy, and in extreme cases, even death.

Adults may face these symptoms from eating just three small raw apricot kernels, and for toddlers, one small seed.

Consumers are hence not advised to eat raw apricot kernels. Unprocessed or powdered apricot kernels are also discouraged.

https://www.cancer.org.au/iheard/can-eating...els-cure-cancer

QUOTE
Some people claim that a chemical found in apricot kernels, known as amygdalin, can cure cancer. The chemical is also marketed in a slightly modified form as “Laetrile”. Laetrile is commonly touted as an alternative treatment for cancer, but there is no evidence that it actually works.

Despite decades of research, dating back to the 1950s, there is no evidence that Laetrile can treat tumours in animals. Clinical trials in humans have also failed to find any benefits. Proponents of Laetrile claim that cancer is a vitamin deficit and that Laetrile, sometimes known as vitamin B17, helps to fix that deficit. However, Laetrile is not a vitamin and it is not essential for good health.

Laetrile proponents also claim that it releases cyanide in the body, which kills cancer cells while leaving normal ones unharmed. It is true that Laetrile can be converted into cyanide in the body, but it is not true that normal cells are unharmed. In fact, there have been several cases of cyanide poisoning, and even death, linked to Laetrile treatment. Unfortunately, taking Laetrile, or eating apricot kernels in large amounts, is not only ineffective at treating cancer but could also be very dangerous. The sale of raw apricot kernels was prohibited in Australia and New Zealand from December 2015.

1 in 4 people gets cancer and anyone can get it. I believe why seemingly younger people are getting diagnosed is due to medical advancement; CT and MRI Scanners are getting more accurate and also cheaper which translates to more medical facilities having them, detecting more cases.

Btw get well soon TS.

Many cancer is caused by mutated genes, is inherited. e.g most throat cancer patients are descendants from Guangzhou province.

Most liver cancer was developed from hepatitis b. Many don't realize they are hepatitis b positive until late stage.

Intake of toxins, nicotine, etc for extended period of time may cause cancer.

Cancer caused by mutated genes largely unaffected by lifestyle or food intake. however, stress induce cancer.

*
4 years ago i told my friend and family member that 1 in 5 will get cancer. But now wat i heard maybe 1 in 3, maybe i'm wrong. Anyway as u mention more younger people get cancer probably of our life style, stress and environment. My own elder bro die of lung cancer [heavy smoker & stress life] at the age of 49. It just took 10 month from start to finish at stage 4.

As medical getting more advance, hopefully they will found a magic pill soon.

There are a few types of cancer and have many possible and different cause e.g mutated genes, virus, nicotine, toxins, etc. Food play a minor role if any.

Many diseases e.g high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, etc are inherited. Change of food intake or lifestyle has little impact.

Talking about soursop, nowdays even soursop tree leaves are very precious. Plucked, dried, packed and sell. Macam those herbal leaves sold in medicine hall.

I started to eat more soursop lately after reading about its nutrients.

Ripe ones, just eat lah.

Raw ones, can make soup. Add some dates and meat, can even add some soursop leaves. So delicious. It tastes like lotus root soup.

Actually it is not easy to buy soursop. Need to ask my regular fruit supplier to look for it.

TS, you can try this soup.

Stay strong. Don't give up. Hope you get well soon.

Nice. You have soursop tree. 👍
Now you don't wait for the fruit to ripe. Once fully grown, grab it before the tupai comes. Haha.

This is how soursop soup looks like. I had it at my regular makan place. They boiled it for us to drink. Put all in, skin, flesh, seeds. They used chicken drumstick this time. Sometimes put black chicken. Use pork also can.

Yeah, no harm trying. They're just fruits. I never like to eat soursops. Yes sometimes very sour.

I understand why you worry about hereditary thing. My late mom and her 2 sisters also had cancer. I tried not to think too much about it, just eat moderately, have regular exercise, think positively and being happy. Good luck in your coming medical check up. 🫶

Thank you for sharing.
I sincerely hope that you get better, stay healthy & happy.
Meanwhile try your best to live life the way you want, instead of other's expectations, experiment things you always wanted to.

Mind sharing what's kind of stress you are referring to, before you start to have symptom? and also your late bother that you mentioned also living a high stress life. But it's ok if you prefer not to. thanks

Anything process is unhealthy. If it doesn't look like that in nature or it comes in a box it is likely unhealthy carbs.

This include all type of powder food. Flour, biscuits, bread, pasta, noodles, white rice (rice is not white in nature), sugar, fructose corn syrup all unhealthy carbs.

This soup is not in their menu.

I brought the soursops for them to cook. Special request la, also need to inform them in advance.

Actually it's quite easy to boil it at home. Recipes are available online.

To make soup, only use unripe soursops.

Whenever you eat protein or carbs, insulin will be secreted to store nutrient. The more insulin you produce the least sensitive the body will be.

Refined vegetable oil are pro inflammatory.

I explained it poorly. Dr Pradip explained it better.

Cancer started 40++

Hi TS, hope you are doing well. Normally what does it mean when the Dr asks about the colour of your stool? I understand sometimes red blood can also means hemorrhoids (buasir) right?

i'm doing good, TQ. Doctors often ask about the color of your stool because if you're bleeding further up in your colon, the blood can mix with your stool and turn it black by the time it exits. This isn't always visible to the naked eye, so a test kit is often needed to detect it. In my case, the bleeding is near the rectum, so the blood is red, and it's accompanied by pain and dripping.

I always thought I had hemorrhoids because of my hard stool, but I continued to experience bleeding and pain even with soft stool.
If you think your symptoms are due to hemorrhoids, try drinking more water and eating more fruits. If the bleeding persists after a few weeks, it's better to get a checkup. You could also go for a checkup now, ask the doctor for advice, and consider doing the test. nod.gif nod.gif

Hi TS, hope you are doing well. Normally what does it mean when the Dr asks about the colour of your stool? I understand sometimes red blood can also means hemorrhoids (buasir) right?
*
The colour, consistency, and smell of your stool can help doctors with their diagnosis.

For example, if you notice that your stool is very dark black like tar (melena) and you have complaints of pain in the region above your belly button, this might indicate that you have bleeding in your upper digestive tract (upper gastrointestinal bleeding - UGIB).

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

If your stool is dark red (haematochezia), your doctor will run a blood test to see what are your red blood cells level in your body to see if there is bleeding in your lower digestive tract (lower gastrointestinal bleeding - LGIB) and an endoscope if indicated (also the same for UGIB). If you notice there are streaks of blood in your stool, this might indicate haemorrhoids (not the only possibility but a very common one) and a digital rectal exam (DRE) will be performed where they will insert their index finger into your rectum.

Also, as what TS has mentioned, there can still be bleeding in your digestive tract and you might not be able to see it in your stool. This is called faecel occult blood and they'll run a faecal occult blood test (FOBT) for you if indicated.

If you notice that your stool is light-coloured & smellier than usual and your urine is darker than normal, this might indicate that there is a blockage in your bile flow (cholestasis).

This is not an exhaustive list and you can read up on your own but my intention of sharing this is not to scare ktards about their poop but to explain the importance of your stool in the diagnosis of your condition if indicated.

If you have any doubts or are worried that you might have something, please see your local klinik kesihatan (KK) or GP clinic for help.

Pity how so many still believe hemorhoid is treated by drinking more water and eating more fruits.

As for cancer, the statistic is there, but so many still choose to use doctor.

i'm doing good, TQ.

It depends on the condition, eg. mild or bleeding.
Visit a specialist surgent.
There are also a few types of treatment.

It pains because the cancer cell narrows the pathway of the colon especially at the beginning when the stool is hard.

TS, keep thinking positive and stay moderately active lifestyle.

I'm sure you can do it.
