if the account is under previous owner,.. then the bill should be bear by previous owner,.. new owner shouldn't bear previous owner debt,... if the account is under tenant name,.. then TNB should chase tenant,..

dude you do know that if TNB did not get the chase the account owner they will just cut the power and then will not reconnect unless the old bill is settled even you're the new owner of the unit. If everyone does that TNB could go bust

then current new law that tenant can registered under their name,.. if tenant lari,.. owner also cannot sambung balik ??..

The hutang will follow name.

But tnb will cut that house power, until huang cleared baru sambung balik

Owner or tenant still the same. The billing is tied to the premise address and lot number.

That's why don't simply buy lelong properties as it may came with bill shock surprises.

I know someone who bought a condo unit in the lelong market received a bill shock of over 50k in MC maintenance bills.

Cannot.
Bill need to be settle on that house first . Before any further tnb connection. So owner must settle the bill.

TNB frontdesk already said the same thing. Owner or tenant still the same status. If got outstanding, either party just settle first then only can resume connection.

then those register the TNB account under the tenants name is just a gimmick ???.. owner still liable to the bill ??.... might as well owner skip that process and take higher utility deposits,..
