Let's keep us posted if they offer you within the range they given or they offer you based on your last drawn salary Having worked with Abeam consultants before on several SAP projects, that is indeed the pay and they don't care what your last drawn salary is because they can charge the client even more. The only clause is that you will be on contract employment.

QUOTE(Smeagol45 @ Feb 8 2024, 07:17 PM) How many years of experiences can get 1k/day rate sir ? It is not about years of experience these days, it is about skillset. Most of the time the ones at that high rates are usually the experts in the modules within SAP, e.g. FICO, PM, WM, SD, etc..etc.. They need to know not only the ins and outs of SAP but also know how to translate the client's request into actual changes. This means knowing the client's industry and business as well as knowing how a certain industry perform a certain process and task.

Because that is VERY VERY VERY RARE.... In financial field... no matter if it is in Malaysia or any parts of the world... they will ask for salary.... if you don't disclose.... the interview automatically stops there and then... Same goes for accounting... FMCG.... In fact... I have not heard of any industry or company that doesn't ask for salary slip apart from part time jobs or extremely low level non technical job like sales or commission based non professional jobs..

SAP… Good companies are moving away from asking for current salary information during the job application process to promote fair pay practices. This helps prevent perpetuating wage gaps and ensures that candidates are evaluated based on their skills and the value they bring to the position rather than their past earnings.

How I wish that was true... I know in certain states in US are practicing that as they have laws in place to prohibit the employer to do so.... largely also because of DEI reasons... however.... everywhere else... especially Asia still demand for salary history or they just won't proceed.... Imagine if your industry has 10 companies and all 10 are asking for salary slip.... if you don't disclose then you might as well just stay put...

My current company never asked me to provide my payslip during the offer stage (was asked about my last drawn salary and expected salary during the HR pre-screening call), managed to get the expected salary I asked for (which was almost 50% above my last drawn salary😂)
The HR was also nice enough to tell me the salary range during the call, which was unexpected (most HRs from other MNCs I’ve interviewed with were reluctant to disclose them when asked)

QUOTE(ju146 @ Jan 4 2024, 08:38 PM) Money... Your current pay is the easiest way to justify your value to your current company during your next employment interview. It is quantitative. No employer will constantly overpay their staff Career growth often not guarantee, and it is subjective/descriptive. wise words...

My pov is this. Few points, it depends on your age, salary difference, and career goal. Salary difference if 1 role is RM5000 and another is RM10000 then you need to see whether you want the money or a role you enjoy. Age plays a part in this too, in my opinion, when you are young you can afford to take risk and do something you like, you never know where it will take you.
For me i would like to have a balance. I was in a similar situation as well but learnt it the hard way. I had 2 offers, 1 was a role i liked and another way a higher pay. Logically i took the higher pay job, but when i was there i wasnt happy at all, i end up leaving not too long and persue what i liked. Idk what was your salary difference but mine was a difference of 1.5k. Maybe to some its not that much. But its still something.
So... follow your heart, we will be working more of our waking hours, do what you enjoy.

Could you mind to share? fyi, I am SAP user or oracle user. as i know if you SAP user you can change to consultants role. what i done is, i applied any SAP position for junior role at Linkedin. Need to update your CV on the key SAP process and which module you used. Also make sure to adjust the points in your CV with the job role you applied. HR/recruiters will easily shortlist you if it was matched
