SAP…

Good companies are moving away from asking for current salary information during the job application process to promote fair pay practices. This helps prevent perpetuating wage gaps and ensures that candidates are evaluated based on their skills and the value they bring to the position rather than their past earnings.

I also have changed my career to SAP consulting. what I saw working in SAP are :
- can focus only in one system (SAP)
- you can jump to other company that require SAP consultant
- most of big company nowadays using SAP and they are migrating from ECC to S4HANA
- you can carry your business process understanding at previous company to new company and able to catchup new process fast

I am still newbie in SAP. before this I'm working as BA and testers
Hope i can survive haha

as i know if you SAP user you can change to consultants role. what i done is, i applied any SAP position for junior role at Linkedin. Need to update your CV on the key SAP process and which module you used. Also make sure to adjust the points in your CV with the job role you applied. HR/recruiters will easily shortlist you if it was matched
