Hi. I registered for both my parents. Unfortunately, the ic and photo verification didn't pass. But there was a notification that manual verification will be done within 3 working days. Today is day 4, still not verified. Anyone else facing the same issue?

I've been thinking whether PADU information is truly meant solely for government purposes. Coz that information is already available in govenment database like EPF and LHDN.

Perhaps a third party unrelated to the government has been contracted to manage PADU? That could explain why we need to manually input the data ourselves. Maybe the government doesn't want to be solely responsible for all the data provided, which is why we're required to input it manually

Both me and my spouse took about 7 -12 days after > 20 times to hv it successfully verified.
Failed at the selfie stage.

Many of my neighbours went to register during the political party organised registration said ...very fast, no need selfie verification....so I guess the officers verified their registration for them on the spot.

Thanks for sharing.. So the notification which says manual verification will be done within 3 working days is unreliable then... Aih... Quite difficult to get my parents to do things. Need to travel hometown again...

No tax file few years... Consider closed??? Not like that??

No wonder many retirees didn't qualify....

You need to write in formally to your branch of LHDN after you retired and have no other income (rental etc.) and they will reply you with approval and close your tax file

Then, only you are 'officially' excluded from tax filing

Many didn't know this....

That why didn't bother to inform to LHDN....

Now that 100 eMadani didn't get....

u can stop filing income tax on on yr own, no need to write or ask permission.

but if u stop filing, u dun get bantuan or emadani... nothing.

if u keep filing, just 00.00, every year, u get bantuan.

what happens if u now dun do PADU is the question nobody has an answer.

we wait for the demigods to act.

bluf one. went to income tax dept. they ask to fill up next year efiling . just put zero (if no income)
even termination also (declare last total salary).
business termination also. say no need to inform. fill up on next efiling and change business to individual tax form

I know, unless they come with a detailed but simplified chart showing who is eligible. No one is going to bother to register, even official site has a very barebone q&a

I have a feeling that even rafizi himself hasn't thought that far ahead and is mainly concern with getting highest number of registration and only then will make it up along the way

Putting in the name of the states will be much easier for majority of the populations.

KUCHING: Jabatan dan pihak berkaitan di negeri ini diarahkan supaya tidak mendaftar maklumat di Pangkalan Data Utama (PADU) buat masa ini sehingga dimaklumkan kelak.

Sumber berkata, arahan itu dikeluarkan semalam untuk semua kementerian dan jabatan di negeri ini selain pejabat Residen.

Arahan itu turut dipanjangkan oleh Residen Bahagian masing-masing kepada ketua masyarakat dan ketua kaum serta Jawatankuasa Kemajuan dan Keselamatan Kampung (JKKK).

Arahan yang berkuatkuasa serta merta itu, bagaimanapun tidak memberitahu alasan berbuat demikian.

Menurut sumber itu lagi, kerajaan Sarawak berpendiriran untuk tidak berkongsi maklumat ke dalam sistem PADU demi menjaga privasi dan kerahsiaan data peribadi terutama data rakyat Sarawak.

Acara untuk pendaftaran PADU di beberapa kawasan turut dibatalkan atas arahan, antaranya di Balai Raya RPR Kidurong, Bintulu yang sepatutnya diadakan esok.

PADU dilancarkan Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim pada 2 Januari lalu dan pendaftarannya dibuka sehingga 31 Mac 2024 bagi membolehkan orang ramai mengemas kini serta mengesahkan maklumat peribadi seperti nombor kad pengenalan, bilangan isi rumah dan alamat.

Semua rakyat berumur 18 tahun ke atas perlu mendaftar dan membuat semakan data di portal PADU iaitu https://padu.gov.my/.
