if the data is with the gomen stat bodies, think they can use it. Banks and Bursa/CDS data probably cannot, illegal to use w/o owner consent.
with little work, little budget, menteri was hoping u will easily volunteer P&C data - not a good idea for a start.


if u r a non resident, not paying any tax, there is no reason to register.

EPF has yr employment income, amount u hv saved, annual dividends.

Income tax dept has yr biz income, rental, property disposal, foreign income data.

All that is enuf. Padu is trying get u to volunteer yr fine details. Such p&c data worth a lot, u know!

trying to cut subsidies is a very difficult thing, the biggest chunk being petrol.

petrol ron95 price rm2.06 a liter is way too cheap; singapore rm10, other asean countries rm6-7.

cheap petrol = more cars, more big cars, more small cars... traffic jams very teruk everywhere now.

i think they will cut petrol subsidy first, maybe cut by RM1.

even at RM3 per liter, it is still v cheap compared to most countries.

those already in some dbase, give subsidy... PADU qualified + previously receiving bantuan.

still, expect inflation to incr big, prices of everything will spike.

in that context, "update" should mean register as new, fill up info.

anyway, if they wanna cut out 80% of the rakyat and benefit only 20%, the consequences will be severe.

the normal spending will slow tremendously, economy grinds to a halt.

i doubt any menteri wants to be accountable for this awful scenario.

u can stop filing income tax on on yr own, no need to write or ask permission.

but if u stop filing, u dun get bantuan or emadani... nothing.

if u keep filing, just 00.00, every year, u get bantuan.

what happens if u now dun do PADU is the question nobody has an answer.

"guarantee" is only good if there's a provision to realistically sue the right party if any confidential info is somehow leaked and abused.

there's also the question what gomen might eventually do with knowledge of every individual's properties, stocks and savings.

from the last few posts, it is obvious some hv no problem filling up padu while some others do.

if it is true 7.5 mill out of 30 mil v done so, that's 25%.

whether it means anything to fill up or not, we will hv to see.

it is not w/o good reason the sarawak man posed questions and lapiji now is asked to explain.

hope lapiji finds sufficient meaningful data there to do what he wants.

if this thing is done wrongly, it will greatly affect the spending patterns of the people and so the general economy.

The richer people also spend more. If they are denied of too many things, they will cut spending, bad for overall economy.

Don't be surprised if nothing happens for another year.
