Put on new shoes for the NK. Stock tyres lasted about 13k km to the wear bars.
Went with PR6 120/190 combo. 1 size up from the factory 180 because no stock of the 180 at that time and I was nursing a 3rd puncture (lol, 3 punctures.on the rear in 4 months) so didn't want to wait 2-3 days for stock.
Price 1250. 120/180 is under 1200. Tyre + mounting and balancing. They adjusted and relube my chain for free, cleaned out all the threads. So far happy with the service.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/9M1h9H1WUn2F42Fm9Done 200km city riding so far. Bike sits slightly taller and the profile is much steeper than the stock 180 maxxis supermaxx. This is due to the PR6 profile and also I'm running 190 on a 5.5" wheel instead of the recommended 6" wheel for 190.
Suspect I will be running with permanent chicken strips due to the low foot peg clearance of the NK.
Carcase is a little stiffer and not much weight difference. Faster to warm up and grip is good even when cold. Not yet tried in the rain yet. Bike falls into a turn quicker due to the steeper profile but I might have to play with the tyre pressure to optimise the feel. The taller rear has made the front feel a little heavier. Will try to tune it out in time.
Honestly, if there is 1 nitpick, I don't like the thread patten of the PR6... Especially for the front. It's like a hot girl putting on granny underpants.
Will see how it goes. Will probably switch it back to 180 next tyre change in about a year.
the Road6 has very soft carcass, softer than S22, softer than Road5, and any Pirelli that was available to me at the time
compound is full silica, so better wet grip than Road5, and less suitable for hooliganism and hot hot weather, sorry by IMO you made a wrong tyre choice for your aspiring riding style

, but the tyres will serve you well
