Actually I think with the dampening it only prolongs the time it takes for the OIS to break, rather than preventing it completely..

Btw, do you just pour the engine oil back to the bottles and bring it to the workshop? I made a mess out of my place while pouring it into the bottles the last time round, think I need a drain pain with a proper nozzle next time round.
*
So far haven't heard of ois breaking with dampening though.

I pour it into a 4L old bottle..then bring to car workshop to dispose while asking for another empty 4L bottle. Easier so i dont have to monitor oil levels n worry about over spilling...i also use a funnel.

The 1L bottles i just throw away.

My drain pan is just a plastic pan from mr diy. Was thinking of adding a valve at the bottom so i can place it higher, n open up the valve to drain into a bottle that sits lower while i do other things.. already bought the valve but dunno wanna go through with it or not...cleaning the pan is annoying though

Never thought I doing this like 6 months ago but somehow manage to get it done finally with the help of all those tutorial videos. Take on & off a week. Is it worth the effort with all the energy/ time spend ?? I don't know but don't care because I decide to do it myself anyway no matter what.

All the overhaul parts + fuse hose + brake. The fuel hose + brake installations are just a piece of cake while the piston / head and engine overhaul part is the real challenge.

Just bought this Benelli Leoncino 250 Se abs 2019, 12k mileage from Imotorbike Glenmarie.

Just did a front tire change to Michelin 110/70 R17 for RM260 at glenmarie 55 workshop. Back tire just changed by Imotorbike, but they changed to a wrong size tire at 140/70R17, the original size is 150/60R17. Currently the back tire is rubbing the mud guard🤦. And coolant have been added by myself, due to it was below the "lowest" indicator. I dont know how they said it was fully inspected before selling to customer.😔

Next is engine when idling, the rpm keep going up and down by 500rpm. Tomorrow will have to go fix that, and the tire. Fingerscross can claim back the coolant money i spent.🤣
Also my chain will need some cleaning and lubing, I did saw ipone cleaning kit if that is good... And i need help with cleaning of the rust on the exhaust pipe.

If someone know how to locate the battery for Leoncino 250 please hit me up, i cant find it below the seats.

How is your Benelli Leoncino 250 performing so far?

Overall ownership experience?

Going on YouTube and Google there are not much resources about this Leoncino 250.

So have to ask actual owners for tips, tricks and DIY How To's.

if you need it to be workhorse, I'd say better skip this one

Problem with those bikes, even if they are reliable is that you'll have problem getting the parts, and you can't avoid wear and tear even if your bike is as reliable as the Japanese.

so my bike (er6n) wont start yesterday, after changing new starter relay. lifespan only halfday or 3 time use then kaput.

-dump start, i dont know how to shift to 2nd gear, always N after the 1st gear. so tried on 1st, unable to start. (i may doing it wrong as the tyre lock after dump clutch + throttle abit)

-short B/M at starter relay, but engine still wont start. ended up replace to old stater relay, then can start.

does this mean shorting the terminal on the starter relay, is not 100% make your engine start? still depend on starter relay condition?

can describe what happen when you press the start button?
- is it like press, then relay click, but no respond (starter motor kong)
- press, but very fast clicking sound and dash dim (battery weak)
- press, starter will spin the motor, but engine won't start (other issue)

maybe need to service the internal of the starter motor, contact point and carbon brush there

most likely no1 . 2,all light remain constant, no dimming/or flickering. 3,didnt hear starter crank. but when i short the terminal around 5 sec + throttle bit (starter relay) it crank but wont start.

however i suspect stator/battery. Happen twice and after both happend after ride. (20-30min ride). Notice that voltage during idle or low rpm ride not exceeding 13v. Lowest was 11 idle at traffic light. will rectifier cause this or just stator?

how old is the battery?

in my experience, to my knowledge, weak battery will kill the rectifier, then kill the stator
but, the rectifier will not be full dead... so, after you change the stator and battery, it will work for 6 months to 1.5 years then keep burning the stator

in your case, probably check the stator, if burn, recoil and test and check
also, make sure engine oil level is near the high mark... because our bike uses EO to cool the stator
also, find the location of the rectifier, make sure after a ride it's not very hot like 80C hot, 60C hot is ok... not sure how to explain to you

OIS breaks when exposed to a certain high frequency vibration for a period of time.

Dampener is effective in absorbing this high frequency vibration, whlie introducing more, harmless lower frequency as it bobs around.

Also high frequency vibration comes from high powered bike with multiple cylinders and high rev.

Scooter rider like me won't experience such vibration so poor fag me phone is safe. biggrin.gif tongue.gif

Guys...

Any battery -> USB power module to recommend?

Use case:
I just realized SJCAM has a series of biker accessories allowing external power to their cam, weather proof. These accessories even come standard with most of their new cams. GoPro and Insta can suck thumb on this area.

So intend to install a USB power module if there is a good small one.

I have the QuadLock power module in my current ride, powering the wireless quadlock charger using USB C. Asking here because I want to see if there is any other options.

New Quadlock wireless charger now comes with direct to battery connection, so I no longer need the module.

Here:

It's expensive from that official page. I can order them from Taobao which is much cheaper than the official page.

Lemme go check on the charging ports you shared. brb...

I am eyeing SJCam C200+ for my first action cam I plan to chin-mount on my full face, optionally, windshield or phone bracket mount.

My reason: no need extra casing, can use the waterproof USB C cable direct connect.

Thanks again for helping to search.

This type is water proof when you are not plugging cable in to charge.
Of course I can install it under all the fairings keep it out of the elements, and permanently connect a cable to it.
