Actually I think with the dampening it only prolongs the time it takes for the OIS to break, rather than preventing it completely..
Btw, do you just pour the engine oil back to the bottles and bring it to the workshop? I made a mess out of my place while pouring it into the bottles the last time round, think I need a drain pain with a proper nozzle next time round.
So far haven't heard of ois breaking with dampening though.Btw, do you just pour the engine oil back to the bottles and bring it to the workshop? I made a mess out of my place while pouring it into the bottles the last time round, think I need a drain pain with a proper nozzle next time round.
I pour it into a 4L old bottle..then bring to car workshop to dispose while asking for another empty 4L bottle. Easier so i dont have to monitor oil levels n worry about over spilling...i also use a funnel.
The 1L bottles i just throw away.
My drain pan is just a plastic pan from mr diy. Was thinking of adding a valve at the bottom so i can place it higher, n open up the valve to drain into a bottle that sits lower while i do other things.. already bought the valve but dunno wanna go through with it or not...cleaning the pan is annoying though
