How bright is the lights in naked eyes? Like how many percent of the photo?
*
It's not that bright with naked eye. Maybe around 15%-20% of the intensity in the photo. But absolutely incredible with camera, long exposure time.

I planning for next year… wanna go liverpool then from liverpool to iceland / norway. Between these two countries which 1 better to watch northern light?
*
Tromsø for sure. Northern lights depends a lot on luck as well but next winter is probably the end of the 11 year solar cycle. Go during new moon so sky is pitch dark

What time did you see them?
Some will turned into purple or pinkish colour. Really wish to see them myself.
*
I posted a new photo in the first post with a slightly pinkish tint.

Purple one I saw in Svalbard, but only got a bad quality image from my mobile phone

I think it's better to have good photos than to rely on memory what it looked like. Aurora can be seen with naked eyes, but the colours just aren't that intense

Probably any middle eastern airlines to Oslo via Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Doha and then SAS to Tromsø, Norway

You must be prepared to spend a bit on a tour that takes you out of Tromsø for the best results

Planning. Go toilet before going out will make things easier. If have to go, allocate more time

Iceland also not bad. Was there during 2018, you can even see northern lights at city center.
