Helo bodo bahlol, eat or dont eat is up to us what we want to eat. But no harm to us if someone inform certain outlet have no halal cert. Be in mind , any food with alchohol content will be classified as non halal. I have to thank kopitiam as I am not aware in some food is not halal.

However, they also need to understand that no F&B establishment is required to be halal. Law only states that any F&B needs to apply for licnese and be certified to be halal. Whether the company wants to be halal certified or not is entirely up to the management.

If it's non halal, then obviously all Muslims should avoid it.

No harm shedding the light, but If you follow the fb post comments, there are some chain effect to it

One of it is it causes more doubt / losing confidence to the eatery due to certain items has alcohol. Once the doubt is there, there are some ppl putting more doubt into it saying non halal bakery is using lard for the pastries, bun etc and goes on from there.

The problem im still struggling is, i dont see ppl questioning muslim owned eateries which doesnt officially have halal cert. If halal consist of other aspect eg the cleanliness, hygiene etc then i can easily single out the mamak and even bazaar ramadan food stalls. But not much fuss on them and business continues to thrive

Intention is good, how its being done is the issue. I've never seen these "informative posts" target their own kind businesses. Its always other race businesses. If they really have good intention to shed light on what is not halal, shouldn't it be on ANY and ALL F&B premise?

There are many other F&B outlets, some franchise with many stores nationwide, that don't have halal cert yet have a big Malay customer base in many branches. I don't see these people shedding light on these restaurants.
I'm not going to name any them. They should do their own homework if scared to get cheated.

Honestly never seen a halal sign at any of their outlets. Then again I don't bother to check for it.

Trouble makers rather type long long and make compilation posts instead of checking with the outlet themselves.

I went few times before and i never know that its not certified halal.

Well not like i care but i know few of my friends that actually do care about halal status but patron it anyway as they assume that this is a halal outlet.

So to me, this kind of post target those who are unaware.

If this is the only intention, then to me its still ok. Its just like spreading awareness kind of campaign.
